Happy New Year!

Ready, set, GOOOOO!

It is now 2008 and I hope you all have a great year.

Here is my new year's resolution (it's also in the About Me section) : try to learn a new language. What language? I don't know yet, but I'll figure it out.

What about you guys, what do you plan to do during '08?

Looking back on 2007 and looking forward to a new year

2008 is almost upon us, so I thought it would be appropriate to think about what happened during the previous year and figure out what I'm going to do during the next.

2007 was a busy year that I could seperate in two distinct halves. First off, I gratuated and got my high-school diploma back in june, after working my butt off to pass math, french and chemistry. It was fun to know that be done with school, but it was also sad because it meant saying good-bye to some of my best friends who were moving away to go to college away from Montreal. Summer was anything but a vacation, as I worked full-time during most of July and August, with the exception of two weeks spent in Daytona with my familly. At the end of August, Ibegan studying civ. tech at Dawson College, but the course wasn't what I was hoping for and I dropped out after finishing my semester earlier this month. Since then, I've been stuck at home due to a broken ankle and haven't done much, although I can't complain since my friends and familly have taken great care of me.

I plan to make up for lost time in 2008, and I get the feeling I'll be busier than ever. First off, I'm finding a new job the momment my ankle is fully healed (Hopefully, at the beggining of January) and I'll find something else to study in the meantime. I'm unsure of what the future holds, but I figure that if I give it my all, things will go well enough.

So untill then, happy holidays to everybody and a happy new year as well.

Better than the original

FF XII Revenant wings is everything I could have hoped for. The gameplay seems simple at first, yet it quickly shows quite a lot a depth. The controls are very responsive, the music is great and the graphics feel like a cross between Final Fantasy Tactics Advance's artstyle and Golden Sun's amazing graphics, all re-vamped for the DS.

However, what truly makes this game better than the original XII in my opinion is that the characters now feel like they're alive, unlike the original where, with the rare exception of Balthier and a few other people, the characters felt a little bland. This game is definitley worth getting if your a fan of RTS, final fantasy or good games in general.

Days of Ruins: Absolute Must-Have!

I'm a huge fan of Advance Wars, and when I saw previews for the upcoming game in the series, I nearly freaked out. The graphics look great, the new storyline souds like it may be the best one yet and, well, IT'S ADVANCE WARS!!! Dual Strike was amazing, soDoRwill probably be, at the very least, just as good.

Oh man, the wait is killing me... At least I'm getting revenant wings soon. That'll help kill time untill then.

So much snow...

Today, were having the mother pf all snowstorms here in Montreal. Okay, matbe I'm going too far by saying that, but it's been snowing since early this morning and before all is said and done, were expecting a good 40 Cm to have fallen. I can't really leavemyhouse anyway, but now no one else in my family can either, wich means I can no longer hog the T.V. all by myself :P. At least this time around my parents can't make me shovel the snow in our back yard. Hmm... maybe I should break my ankle more often then?

At any rate, I went to see my Doctor the day before yesterday and he said that my foot is healing nicely, so that's good news. Even better, now that my semester is finally over, I can kick back and relax untill my foot heals. Maybe I'll even get to enjoy some Final Fantasy XII Revenant wings if I get lucky and find it when I go shopping with my family on tuesday.

In the meantime, I'll be posting my reviews on all three DK Country games during the week (Now you know what I've been up to these past few days) so check them out if you get the chance.

Why are all of my exams this semester on the 7th floor?

It's just not fair! Why did my exams end up being almost all held on my school's 7th floor? The escalators only go up to the fifth, and then you have to either walk up the stairs or take the elevator. I usually take the stairs, since they are the closest to the classrooms I need to get to, but I can't anymore. If you've read my revious blog post, then you know why. So I am stuck taking the elevator. Which is in the wing furthest away from all but one of the rooms where my exams will be. At least, by tomorrow, it'll all be over, and I can finally give my broken foot some rest.

Oh yeah, since my semester's over as of tommorow afternoon, I'll start posting more reviews so give me some feedback if you get a chance to read them.

Skiing is fun, but painfull...

I went skiing on sunday, and wouldn't you know it, I went and broke my left foot (ankle actually). I spent the day in a hospital near the place I was skiing, but they had Wi-Fi and I had my dad's laptop, so it wasn't so bad. Anyway, I'm now the proud owner of a cast untill around new year, so no more winter sports till then :( . Oh well, what can I say, an accident's an accident right?

Must get Final Fantasy XII RW...

I really wish I could go and get it right now... but since I lost mypart-time job earlier this week, my budget's been a bit tight.

I looked at the gameplay movies here on gamespot, and now I really can't stand not being able to play it. Oh well, guess it's time to make applications for a new job...

Whoa! Everything's happening at the same time.

This week is turning into the week of hell. I got laid off of work tuesday, and just now,I checked my college results and found out that I won't be back for another semester this winter. On the bright side, that means that once my finals are over next week,I'll have a LOT of free time on my hands, at least untill i get a new job.

Till then, I guess I'll just take a break from it all and simply take it easy. After all, I have my youth and my health, compared to that, what's one measily failed semester? I'll just wait a little, find something else that I like and study that instead.
