@Supabul

Wii U version is the best according to a greater majority of official reviews out there. FYI

Never take one reviewer's word as the final say on the matter. Balance it with multiple other opinions and play the game for yourself before deciding.

For those of you wanting a quick-shot second opinion, here's a quote from a recent review by EurogamerGermany: (translated by Chrome to English, so my apologies for the iffy grammar)

"... to decide between multiple versions, you should immediately buy the Wii U version without further consideration. Because after I switched to Xbox 360 later flew by a certain part of the magic. Without the Tablet perfection was destroyed...

And here arises a problem that does not help, because the tablet only exists on the Wii U. Maybe if you had reworked the entire game again. Such a venture but no one can require a developer who is forced to suddenly put his game for other systems. In my experience on the Wii U, the points with Murfy on the Xbox 360 felt like a slap in the face."

Wii U 10/10

PS3/360 9/10

@TomMcShea @cva9999

Certainly, it wasn't enough of a basis for the score you gave here.

No disrespect to you as a person, but as a reviewer... well, I think you let your personal bias overwhelm your better judgment in this case, Tom.

@TomMcShea @Omnichrono I see.

And for you the ability to run as Rayman on these segments (again, Murfy segments only are where this occurs) is so much more enjoyable that it not only surpasses the Wii U's 5-player local multiplayer experience, Off-TV play experience, and touch/motion controls experience (Murfy stages only), but it also makes the overall gameplay that much better that it honestly warrants a full point higher score on the PS3 and 360 versions?

@TomMcShea @Omnichrono Sure, I understand that.

And on the GamePad you use touch and motion controls in a variety of ways to assist Murfy as he makes his way through a portion of certain stages. (again, Murfy's segments only)

My original question still stands.

Mr. Mc Shea,

So let me see if I am understanding this... (because I am finding it extremely hard to believe your score after reading your Murfy assessment of basically saying "Button tap = good; Touch controls = bad")

You are honestly saying that controlling Murfy with little more than a "button tap" (i.e. prompted action commands) is that much more enjoyable than using the GamePad's touch screen elements (during the Murfy segments only), that it warrants a full point higher in the final score for the PS3 and 360 versions?

You are honestly saying this?

Honestly?

(Everyone bearing in mind that the Wii U version has exclusive Off-TV play and exclusive 5-player co-op, both of which only serve to heighten enjoyment of the game for most, and that the consensus of 99% of the other published Wii U reviews, thus far, is that the game is either equal to or greater than the other console versions.)

@wewerethere @Helios_Sun @corrus Darksouls isn't even a challenge. It's a grindfest. That's pretty much it. There's very little actual "challenge" in the game that a person cannot simply grind through. I don't get gamers who laud it for being "difficult." My guess is they don't know what that word actually means. Try games like Punchout!!, Zelda II, Ninja Gaiden, Mega Man 2... those were/are difficult games.

@Supersayian007 Vita has potential to be a truly great handheld when it comes to games. It's not quite there yet though. Hopefully, the PS4 release will also boost Vita sales due to the cross-play feature, thus giving developers more reason to start making more games specifically for Vita. 3DS is blowing it of the water right now... any way you slice it.
