Set you backround to while, remove all shortcuts and set your taskbar to float. Mouse curosr will still be on the screen though.

Looking for a genral use laptop to suplement my desktop. Mostly using Microsoft Office, Webbrowsing and reading some pretty heafty pdf files. Things that factor into my choice.

1. Weight - current laptop is 7.5 lbs and that is a tad too heavy. If I could shave a pound off it would be great.

2. Screen - current screen seems dull...def want something bright

3. gaming - this is not going to be a gaming laptop, but I may want to kill some time on it. I've devided games into 3 tiers based on what I estimate system requirement to be. If I run I want to run it well.

Required - need to be able to run Magic Online req dx9, 128mb video ram, 1024x768
also D&D insider shader 2.0, 1200 MTx fill rate, 128 mb video ram

Teir 1 Baldur's Gate II
Icewind Dale 1, 2
Diablo II

Tier 2 Heroes of Might & Magic V
Sacred
Temple of Elemental Evil

Tier 3 Dawn of War
Empire at War
Battle for Middle-Earth 1, 2
Warcraft III
World of Warcraft (maxed)

My main problem is that I know nothing about processors or mobile video cards. Any suggestions would be great.

Oh, I prefer to but at a local store like Best Buy.

Dude the squat minigame was classic. You had to do that in the wall market. God I loved that part of the game.

Brings back soooo many memorriess

Pong brings back memories as well, doesn't mean I want to encounter that gameplay in newer games.

The squat mini-game is the dumbest waste of time I've seen in a game in YEARS.

Baldur's Gate II

Diablo II

Civ 3

Starcraft

Command and Conquer Red Alert 2

I've found that old sprite based games actually seem to hold up better than early 3D games.

Like a PS2 game :roll:GreenGoblin2099

Well a PS2 game on my old standard def TV looked pretty good. A PS2 game on my LCD monitor looks like garbage.

Someone gave me a memorex combo TV with component input. When I play FFXII it loses signal when going to the map, and more important during some spells. Will they all do this?

So the TV I play my PS2 on died. I'm looking to replace it, but I'm thinking if I am going to drop 200 on a TV, maybe I should just boot up to the PS3. Does it improve the look of PS2 games on HDTV? I hooked by PS2 up to the monitor I have my 360 on and it looked like crap.

I need to replace the TV I play my PS2 on. Thats about all it will be used for (a little general TV). What will get me the best picture? I tried hooking it up to my LCD once but it looked like crap.
