The one you selected will not. Dell power supplies are not standard sized. I hopped on their site and could not really find something quickly.

I had the same problem with a Compaq years ago. I bought a new case and standard PSU and transfered the guts. Got me started in building my own PCs.

Sonys are way overpriced. I picked up this Gateway from Bestbuy for $1099 a couple weeks ago. Not sure why the price went up, but it a VERY good machine. Might go on sale again soon.

305w DON'T INSTALL A NEW GRAPHICS CARD UNLESS YOU SWITCH THAT OUT.

And Dells have proprietary PSUs. You have to order from them.

This might be a dumb question.....but....

When you go from normal work to gaming, does the GPU suck a lot more power from the PSU?

I'm starting to think it could be GPU related because it has run fine all day but I just tried to boot HL2 and it shut down twice the second gameplay started. It's not running hor though.

I've got a 600w BFG PSU that is less than 2 years old.

No sounds from the HD. I think my problem is occuring before the HD/Windows gets invloved. I don't even see the BIOS stuff.

My PC has been taking a long time to boot of late. It starts and stops 2-3 times (LEDs blink on, then off) before it finally boots to Windows. From there everything is fine. It has also restarted itself a couple times lately when I fire up games (before play so not heat). MoBo going bad?

I picked up Sacred. Thanks for the suggestions.
