Alright this has intrigued me - I'll give it a whirl after being out of Titanfall since June. As much as I wished they'd just get cracking on a full-fledged sequel, this is the first update that actually seems worth anyone's time and it's a great way to test-bed new modes that could be reincarnated in better ways as the franchise goes forwards.
I love the indie game revolution as much as anyone but I do miss the psuedo-lack of "bigger" experiences that the AAA arena provides. I think 2015 will start delivering in this department though, so in the meantime...time to get through that backlog!
Most interesting thing for me was Hellblade; I'd love to see more 3rd person hack 'n slashers rather than 3rd person shooters.
It really does seem like they're trying to actually make the game better in smarter ways, instead of just milking this franchise to nothing. Power to 'em.
All well and good but there's still no way I'm going to pre-order these games like I used to.
I'd say the very fact that they are bothering to do this suggests a direct sequel is in the works.
Release remaster to broaden and consolidate game base and then, bam, sequel has a larger audience which has more likely engaged or heard of the game at some capacity.
