Yeah I mean I should be able to upgrade it easily and flexibily.

It has a 750W power supply AFAIK.

What is the advantage of an SLI system? Is it good for high resolution gaming only or will it be good for high settings gaming well. Like lets say I buy this system now and say 2 years later Crysis 2 comes out :). Most prolly this wont be able to play Crysis 2. So will adding another 8800gt in Sli help low res gaming but with high settings?

What should I get for low res but high settings and high textures gaming?

Will this be able to play FSX with high settings but low res?

I suppose building the computer on my own will only save me about $100-200?

Firstly, I would like to ask about the Dell XPS 630. What are your opinions on it? Will it play Flight Simulator X, Olivion, World in Conflict, and a few other games on high settings? In general, will it be able to play on high settings just about any game from last year?

My second question is that I want to build a highly expandable, somewhat future proof PC. Does the XPS 630 qualify for that? and what mobo and stuff would you recommend if I build a PC myself?

So why is it that if I want to play a game 3 years form now on medium settings on a current gen PC (now), it wont play?

Like i bought my PC in 2005 while the PS2 was released in 2001? I remember no being able to play Hitman on my PC but my PS2 was fine.

cool and what about the multithreading? How is it that PC developers are finding it hard to have multithreaded games while the concoles have like 3 processors and run just fine?

Nice, so how would it look if I got a 19" TV and put it on my desk so it looked just like I am playing on my PC?

Can i use my xbox with a monitor?

hmmm but still how much of a loss would it be? Cant a successful console maker force a rival out by buying all the systems without purchasing any game sos that the rival makes a loss?

With PC gaming, we are only now seeing games which are multithreaded. Developers say it is hard to make multithreaded games. So how is it that the xbox360 (3 cores) can use those 3 cores without many problems?

thanks for the replies

I used to find it hard to play FPS games with the PS2. does that make a difference? Or was the dual shock 2 just not good for FPS games? With the mouse, I just dart the crosshair to where the enemy is and then have slight adjustments and then blow him off.

Once you get immersed into a game, the graphics and stuff dont matter as much then, you jsut dont feel that they are spectacular anymore. Do you think the advantage the xbox has over other less powerful consoles will be invalid then?

If I want to buy a used xbox for trial or whatever on ebay, how can I make sure its not busted or whatnot?

I was wondering how is it that consoles are cheaper than PCs and at the same time, they take like 5 years to get outdated and unable to play the latest games. How is i that they play the latest and greatest for 5 years? While a PC gets outdated in like 2 years time and certainly unable to play the latest and greatest.

If the consoles have superior technology then how come they are cheap? If they have special dedicated techniques then why cant PC developers also implement these techniques to the PC?
