so ur not counting multiplatforms? this thing about sheeps are they act as if exclusives are the only thing that matter. In fact even multiplats released for all consoles including the wii get a much lower grade as well. i dont game just for exclusive, i game for what system has the most variety and quality of games, which the 360 and ps3 have in common, wii lacks a lot of multiplats.
If u go to gamerankings.com and go to all-time-best games and u fiddle with the categories, ull see that the wii has the lowest category of quality title. To be fair, i didnt add random shovelware so i set it to games that got 20+ reviews so at least it a well known enough game to be rated alot. now go through 360, ps3, and then wii. now im to lazy to actually count but one page has a lotta games, i think 40+ now counting the pages, the 360 has 3 pages worth of AAA/AA titles (although they did had on year head start i admit) the ps3 has a bout a page and a 2/3 of the same. the wii has lol only about a 1/2 page worth of quality titles. :P and these statistics get worse for the wii and better for the other consoles when u lower the review count to min 10 reviews a game. As for AAA: ps3= 10 , 360= 16, wii = 5 lol (and 2 of he are ports: okami and RE4) ok now some new game realeases like punchout may have not been counted on the 20+ scale, but due a min of 5 reviews and ull see the basic structure is still the same. and u know why the lack of such quality title, MULTIPLATS and the fact the wii lacks aloota them. Im talking about bioshock, SF4, gta4, shooters fallout 3. The 360 and ps3 just gets much more variety of games that the wii doesent due to its hardware. i personally feel the wii as a standalone console is not the best choice due to this fact. People argue about brawl and mario, etc. but i personally feel there missing out unless there hardcore nintendorks. now for those who argue about only GS matters, ill argue how sheep people in this website point at other websites when their fav game gets turned down :P
id rather be a graphics fanboy then a gamer anyday, wats ur def of being a gamer, spending hours racking up achievements and trophies that have no worth :P ? seriously, the term gamer is so broad. its not like im saying games without good graphics suck, i mean i loved world of goo!!! but graphics are just as important as gameplay, imagine u played game with ps1 polygons, would u rather not have it look like ps3 or 360. as long as graphics dont interfere with good gameplay its all cool.
The face that many people of the gaming age are complete homophobes might actually impact sales. Even the logo for the the ballad of gay tony looks gay lol. now im not saying its gonna be a major sales drop, and in fact some might even get it and some might find it funny. but old joe redneck who with a 360 in his trailer ( u know the one on live screaming racist epithets every 30 seconds) is gonna think twice about getting it believe it will cause some people not to buy it. although i dunno if rockstar did this knowing this fact because they got enough from MS to mess around and do w.e. they want with the episodes.
i usually also dont watch movies that critics pan, except ill admit ill watch terminator even tho its less than par on rotton tomatoes, but only because im sure the sequal will be much more entertaining and epic, like dark knight to batman begins... and most of the time their right, i find if i dont listen to critics, the movie sucks as much as they agreed it would, so i agree with them.
u must be a wii owner... :P jk no id be must more impressive to have a real interactive world than a dead one. imagine gta in 2001 compared to the new one, dont u find it much more immersive and fascinating?
u act like gaming is a sport, i dont "game", i play video games when i have time too :P and ive been playing games a long time.... sony promised 120fps at one point and gameplay renders ive never seen, so blame them and all the other game companies that make target renders that dont come close to what comes out.
immersion is part of gameplay, or would u rather still play pong? and immersion increase as hardware capabilities increase. compare halo 3 and the first doom, which is more fun and immersive? sometimes there is a treadoff when its too realistic as some people have said was the problem with gta4 (i call those people idiots btw) but for the most part, realistic physics, environments, etc only add to the gameplay.
