I don't get the point of screen savers. If you're not using the monitor just turn it off and enjoy the savings on your electricity bill too.

gaming laptops just don't strike me anymore :/ don't like the prices & they run so damn hot..i don't wanna game on my lap (TOO HOT AHHH IT BURNS!) i've realized over the years that laptops suit me best as something quick, easy and portable, and something that i can actually sit on my LAP! thats the point of these damn things, not to mention the awful battery life of gaming laptops knowing what i know now, if i were in the market for a laptop, i'd grab a macbook or macbook pro 13 or 15 inch...you can run bootcamp on it and use windows 7 as well and still do some decent RTS and MMO gaming...not to mention awesome battery life and portability! i use a macbook pro 17in for my internship they gave me to use and i love it, now my HP laptop collects dust...

[QUOTE="Scouten9"]its generally cheaper and less hassle if you just throw the thing away and build from the ground up i mean you can get something with twice the performance for probably 5 times less what your pay for in a prebuildgmaster456
5 times is a bit much, more like 2-3 :P

I'd say 3-3.5 :)

if you want to be more stable on witcher 2, you should have at least a 560Ti or similar Radeon card...also if you're getting a mobo upgrade, get a mobo that is AM3+ for an upgrade path to Bulldozer like ^^ said....also when purchasing RAM make sure it's the same clock speed and preferably the same manufacturer as the sticks you have now (are you adding these sticks, or are they gonna replace the sticks you have now?)

hey fell asleep last night :P OP is your problem fixed yet? if not, you may need to see what IP your cable/dsl modem has, most newer ones come with DHCP or some routing functionality on them but even then it may not work, i had a CenturyLink modem and its IP (without bridging it of course) was 192.168.1.1 (if i remember correctly)...the problem is that a lot of time the stock default gateway (or stock IP) on the router has that same IP so there's an IP addressing conflict...i do static addresses on all my devices in my home using the Linksys E3000 with it's MAC address & IP address mapping/binding functionality ("DHCP Reservation" is the term they coined)...so you may want to fix the stock IP address on that wireless router and then set the first IP address for its DHCP table to be say 192.168.1.201, that way it increments to 202, then 203, 204, etc....it makes things a lot easier
