There are a couple of other threads stating that XBL just went down again. Maybe that is the cause...

ah the games about 29 days away, i just hope im moved into my new house by then...man it would suck to have the game and not be able to play it :?

lil_d_mack_314

With all these games being released so close, it will be inevitable to get to the point where you don't know which one you would rather play.

Well, from what I was able to read, the world is supposed to be big (maybe not Oblivion big, but still big) so that should provide a lot of opportunities for exploration, upgrades, ... Placing something like a shooter on a map of that scale would be just repetitive and plain boring and I guess that devs at Bethesda know better than that.

I was amazed at the first glance of Fallout 3. Now it just seems like a second grade game. I'll most likely try and get it after Fable 2, but i'm not anticipating it.stappy

WOW! Really? Second grade? How come?

I'm pretty sure people have been talking about Fallout 3. If not, they're probably all crippled by excitement for this game to be released.yentar480

Exactly! Personally, I think it sucks that those two are being released so close to each other. Like, I'll have to decide which one I "like more" and play first, and I don't want to do that as they both seem great.

I sent mine in for the fourth time last week. I was a new one too, I hated getting refurbs and then I got a new one which lasted me a year. Refurbs always break and I've learned to accept the fact that it will happen again and again.

Well, too late now since you already sent it, but $30 Protection plan in BB or CC for 2 years will give you brand new one when your's die. I ended up having newer model with HDMI which my old one didn't have. BestBuy person gave me one from the shelf.

I have a router, but it is a long way from my xbox. As for calling Microsoft, I'm not talking about which one work well with Xbox Live. The type of modem has little to nothing to do with having xbox live work. I'm talking cheap/ reasonably cheap modems that are effective for xbox live.Oni_of_the_Fire

I figure that all ISPs have somewhat specific configuration of their devices, so I'm not sure how smooth would that idea of yours be implemented. If that router that you have is wireless, it may be easier to get one of those wireless bridges and just plug it into your Xbox:

This is just an example, I'm sure there's plenty of models around.

Hope it helps.

Ok so my xbox 360 pro died :( The video card is messed up and isnt showing anything on my screen etc.

i called M*soft and they said since it wasnt the RROD i had to pay $99 dollars and send it in to get repaired. (my xbox now doesnt have an hdmi port)

so i was thinking, why not just go buy an arcade for $199 and just put my HD on it and be good to go? plus i will get the HDMI port, which is awesome cuz i just got a 46' LCD HDTv :)

Does that sound smart or should i send it in and wait?

thx for the help!

If you end up buying whatever new, get that "insurance plan" or whatever it's called from BestBuy, Circuit City, ... From personal experience, it was the best investment ever. When my Xbox RRODed it took me an hour (including driving to the store and back) to get a brand new one. I was sorta scared that they have a "pool" of refurbs for exchanges like that one, but dude went straight to the shelf and picked up brand new one (just swapped the hdd for my old one). Best thing was that I got newer model with HDMI which my old one didn't have. I think it's around $30 these days for 2 years.
