This setup cost him about $450 since his computer isn't for gaming and the 7.1 was $150 and sounds better then most retail ones and left out TV because I don't know the price offhand. $450 is a little more then the cost of a PS3 AND you get surround sound which the ps3 doesn't even have.Consoles are a better solution for most people because the fit into existing home entertainment setups. A PS3 provides in a neat package a blueray player, a games console. a media hub and social networking functionality. Where can I get a PC for the same price that does all this in such a slick package?

i could get higher quality pc soundcard but this soundcard is good enough for me.
