playing it right now. Has flop written all over it. Just horrible menus and feels dated, despite being technically advanced sim-wise. I'm calling for 8.0 on GS, but I have a feeling they'll overrate a bit.

Man, you haven't been on SW long have you? :). I don't think a day goes by without someone hating on another for their choice of games.

Why must everything have an alterior motive when it comes to Call of Duty? >_> They're donating ONE MILLION, which should help soldiers, which is a great thing.

This. I suggest that most of SW don't go fishing today. They won't catch anything. It's a nice gesture and just let it be that.

Re-master is another way of saying "pay us again please." Still cool that they would like to re-make some games, but had Sony not flip-flopped on BC, they wouldn't need to do it. I'm anxiously awaiting the SOTC and ICO re-masters, but partly because Ico is so hard to find for PS2. Seems worth it to me. Not sure how other PS2 games I'll download though, just depends one what they re-master and what they add.

I got to try out Kinect today at Best Buy. Was quite impressed. Wrote a whole blog about it in my user blog for those who want the long version, but I just found it to be fun and entertaining. It's ground-breaking in that you don't need a new controller, but the games don't seem to be all that great. That's just how it is with day one games. System has a ton of potential, but it all depends on what direction they take it in.

[QUOTE="gruntpocalypse"]Love it. Love the ESPN feature, just finished watching Blackpool play West Brom and really can't wait for college b-ball season to start so I can watch out of market games. It's just fantastic.Ravensmash

Have to say, I've been more and more drawn to my PS3 for gaming recently, but I do like Xbox Live and since most if not all my friends game on 360, it's a huge incentive to keep buying a membership each year. I can't say the XBL is that much better than PS3, but when you've got tons of people you've known all your life playing on one console, it's worth it to me to be able to communicate and play games with them. PSN has improved so much since it came out years ago, I have to imagine that next generation my friends and I will just make the shift over to PSN if MS just keeps raising the price on their online service. It's a good service, but PSN is getting closer and closer each year to equaling it -- for free.
