It took over 3 years to finally get the game out. GG (the guys that made it) staffed up from 40 to over 200.

$60,000,000 to make the game, publish, ship, advertise, pay people to act as "gamers" and hype the game on gaming forums and the result?

9.0 at GS(compare that to other FPS and it doesnt really shine)

AND ABYSMAL SALES, if you dont know what abysmal is then...

HORRIBLE SALES.

It wasnt the best or even the 2nd best selling gameon the PS3. :shock:

It sold less than Halo Wars let alone WiiFit.:o

PS3 sales went DOWN for February 2009compared to February 2008 (when it used to cost more).:x

It IS NOTA SYSTEM SELLER, AND DID NOT KILL HALO in the slightest.:cry:

The things MS has done to remain a very good competitor in the Gaming industry this gen. Seriously though, they have taken the Gaming industry by storm especially in NA. This gen will be probably remembered the Gen. that MS truly unleashed their gaming how-to. Also its very intresting how good the games on 360 are even though they are on a 9gb disc compared to a say 25gb or 50gb BR disc. Gears 2 can rival games like MGS4 in graphic capabilities while there is a huge difference in space required for both games. Basically I am just saying that even PS3 owners should give props to MS for what have they have done in the gaming industry.

So leading to my question...

Do you think it was good that MS joined the Gaming Industry?

and there is a huge difference in the size of MGS4 than there is in gears 2 because, just look at MGS4, its a bigger game over all, the the graphics arnt that close, niether is the sound quality or well basically anything else that MGS4 offers, gears 2 dosent stack up to MGS4 other wise it would have scored a perfect 10 just like MGS4
