Graphically, Assault on Dark Athena looks pretty good, but not as great as it could have been. The original title took excellent advantage of the Xbox's hardware, offering some visuals that were amazing for 2004. Unfortunately, while the game isn't ugly by any means and features a pretty competent HD look, it's lost some luster in the 5 years since it's released and doesn't really compete with the likes of Gears of War or Killzone 2. The PS3 version also suffers from a few graphical bugs here and there, including clipping and disappearing characters, and generally lacks the polish of its Xbox 360 counterpart.

One of reasons to own a 360...multi's are always better

I can get the full experience with just a 360. But in order to play Left 4 Dead or Mass Effect, a cow is forced to boot up their Microsoft OS PC and play the game, forsaking their PS3.

So I just got my copy of KZ2 today, and I must say, from the moment I popped in the disc and saw the opening scene...I had to wipe the drool from the floor from the graphical showcase. But, as I began to play from the first stages of the campaign, I noticed something disturbing...the controls, although placed intuitively, felt "loose". Even adjusting the sensitivity, I did not feel like I had precise control of the shooting with the dual axis layout. And the problem wasn't the kickback, it was just moving the dual control that I disliked. I think it probably is more deserving of an 8.5, although I admit to not playing far into the campaign and not yet touching the multiplayer...but I think this game could have been great with a 360 controller.

I'm personally having a ton of fun playing a last place console.

I'd rather play great games instead of relying on all my great games from two years ago like lemmings do.

I don't play sales and "places" at home on my couch. I play games.

The simple FACT is this. When lemmings brag about all their AAA games the truth is almost all these games came out more than a year or two ago (PD 0, Halo 3, Gears of War 1, GRAW etc). The only one of those games lemmings still play is Halo 3 so I'm not even sure why they bring up games like PD0 and the original Gears anymore.

On the other hand, the PS3s huge AAA games have all come out in the last year with R2, MGS4, LBP and Killzone 2. There is no denying that the PS3 has had more highly rated NEW games than the 360 in the last year and if you look at CONFIRMED releases for this year, the PS3 also has more than the 360.

So please lemmings, keep living in the past. I am in the middle of Star Ocean 4 and I still love my 360 but I'm getting sick and tired of hearing lemmings always bringing up the past where their games are concerned. If they focused on the present they'd realize the PS3 is the console putting out the better games. That may change later this year but currently it cannot be argued in any way, shape or form.

I want to be VERY clear. I am a PS360 owner and have the picture to prove it. However, I get very frustrated seeing lemmings continue to gloat on these forums about sales and PAST successful games while the PS3 surges ahead with CURRENT great games. How about living in the present for a change and giving the PS3 it's current due?

there is this ps3 game called motorstorm : pacific rift, its a blast to play, and it also has 4 payer split screen, all consoles diliever different fun factors.
