I hate to say it but, based on Sony's history, the PS4 could drop in 3 years. Whether or not that happens is a different story but for now, I'm going to say that that's the case. As for what will be different, I have no idea. I really don't want to think about it.

I was in the beta since August, and it really is a GREAT game. ESPECIALLY if you get a group of friends/people you play well with. Coordinating attacks it's really something to behold.

It is indeed powerful BUT

1) Which game till now , needs 7 cores to work with? NONE 4 are far enough!! with a 10 yr life cycle, they made it future proof

2) What to do this 8 core CPU when you got 512 MB RAM TO WORK WITH?!! you dont need alot of ram if its fast enough.

3) What to do this 8 core CPU when you got outdated GPU , less powerful than X360s the cell can do graphical "stuffs" just like a GPU. balancing things out and making it better

4) What to do this 8 core CPU when whole architecture is bad and makes developers focus on X360 as their lead platform plus making cheap ports over PS3 ( bayonetta anyone? ) when you port from the 360 it doesnt take advantage of what the ps3 can do, basically the ps3 is just doing what the 360 does, only worse in some cases since its not designed to work the same was as the 360. when you start on the ps3 first games tend to do better in general for both systems. (had to underline that due to some fanboys will blow it up more then it is)

AND FINALLY WHY us , customers , we have to pay/already paid more $$ for this ...super duper CPU when we wont need 8 CORES for gaming till 2012-13 for sure!! Isnt that when PS4 will come.... So all in all... CELL is good but .... OVERALL PS3 didnt deliver what supposed to... AND thats WAY better graphics and overall gaming quality titles over competition.. Period. finally, the ps3 didn't deliver? it has a 10 yr life cycle for pete sake... what are we in its 3rd? there is no way you can say the ps3 or anyother console this generation hasn't delivered...... last and not least i hope they dont come out with another console in 2012/13 you people are way to anxious...

Co-signed. PS3 is already outdated, and boasting on about how it will unleash some extra hidden power just flat out flatters me (pun intended). It's not like we'll see Crysis of the exact scope from PC version with competent details anyway.
