@FlameBeast4000 Vita has just started, we don't know what will happen to it. Here in Portugal, 3DS first made a demo to download like in January from this year which was the Resident Evil Revelations. Vita just came in 22 feb and it already has demos to download... About the MGS3D, well I tested the demo, and doesn't look anything like the PS2 version, it has lot's of texture compression and the game runes slow on my 3DS. I'm playing that game in the Xbox360 with the HD version. It will come to Vita to, and Vita will actually have the same graphics of the 360 HD version and probably will look better on it's very high quality screen. And as I said, Vita will probably have most of the best PS3 big titles... that's what I really want. And also Vita will be pretty good as a media player, which is something a console should do. But it just started 22 FEB. It will take time for it to have a big gaming list and for the PSN to really start working properly, this is normal in any console... When 360 and PS3 started, I never liked them, only bought my 360 like in 2008, and only recently it starts to impress me... ps: Vita is just not worth to buy right now. I will wait for a big price drop, and for 3rd party memory cards or adapters. But the games here already cost less than the 3DS titles... That's a FACT.
@FlameBeast4000 There's no way the Vita OLED screen would only be 30 FPS... 30FPS is considered LAGG (slow) in the PC world, and OLED even has a better response time than LCD, there's just no way ever that it would show in 30fps only... Actually 3DS screen is pretty bad. Have u even checked a video comparing 3DS to original PSP? The 3DS comes all white and no colors on every video. It's a pretty bad quality LCD. An example check this video: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=DwnZEqZfmxA" And that's not even the best old psp which had a better LCD... About the Vita. It just started, but it will soon be like a PS3. You will even be able to compete against PS3 players online trough wi-fi on some games. Also I have the 3DS and I don't see game updates, does the 3DS even has game updates? The vita will be just like PS3 PSN. Which means a good online, lot's of games updates (GT from PS3 already has near 3GB of updates and finally look like an awesome game). U will have DLC's to buy, just like the PS3. Oh and about the glare u say about the Vita Screen, well 3DS has equal same glare under the sun, it looks like a mirror too, specially from the sides. That's a FACT... Is it only me or I don't actually see anything on the Nintendo online too? (no game updates, no nintendo home with special things to do, no game DLC's, no extras to buy???) ps: And sonny made a promise that they will never forget the vita like what happen with the original crap PSP
@baconater87 Well everyone has their preferences. The 3DS here is just an unknown console and no one has it. And in fact there's already more ppl with the vita than with a 3DS around. I prefer Vita's titles, so no one can just say Vita will fail because it doesn't have a super mario or that kind of thing... I don't like my self the 3DS titles...
@FlameBeast4000 As I was saying it's a matter of preferences, so If you prefer 3DS titles, Vita would just simply be a big waste of money for u... On the other hand if you prefer the titles on the PS3\360, well Vita is totally for you, as it has a true online just like the PS3 and will probably have most of the biggest PS3 titles out there...
@FlameBeast4000 The touch is separated from the screen, it's just a sensor layer added on the screen and can be bought separately... (u can buy from china just the touch for the DS, or the full screen with the touch which cost more). About the games, I didn't said all 3DS games look like dreamcast games... I said most of the games not all. Actually Resident Evil Revelation looks pretty good and look like a PS3 HD game, but it's the only one. And actually most of the games are platform games which don't have much coding technology on the back such as the PS Vita games. Let's see... In the Vita we can even expect a GTA V, GT and much games like those big titles. On the 3DS I would never expect seeing a game as much advanced as GTA V with HD graphics like this resident evil.... ps: The PSP Vita hardware is lot more advanced, that's a FACT, as it's the most powerfull pocket gadget out there at this moment. And it's just a matter of preferences on the games, I prefer Vita's titles, most are really just like the REAL HD ps3\360 version and usually even cost less than 3DS games here...
@FlameBeast4000 You say the 3DS LCD is the 2nd best in quality out there? Is that a joke? Most mobile phones have a brighter, better view angle and better color balance than the 3DS screen's... About the speakers... they could have moved them to other place and use the full cover of the screen, as a full screen. Also the speakers are there just to say that there are speakers, because outside of my home I can't even hear the music play. I only can hear good when I'm in a closed room with no noise around...
I don't see why are PSP cards so expensive... Here everything is expensive and we can still buy the following cards: - Mustang Compact Flash 32GB; 633x; reed up to 80MB/s; Write up to 50MB/s for 59.9 EUR. (This is like USB 3.0 pen drives speed). -SAMSUNG SDHC CARD; 32GB; CLASS 10 speed; (read) 24 MB/s; (write) 13 MB/s; 33.9 EUR. So is PSP Vita made of diamonds? or have any higher speed than 80MB\s or so?
@Fc360 Have u seen the full size of the 3DS main screen cover? There's still like almost the full size of the main screen not used in there. I would even prefer that the console only had one 3D OLED touch screen with the full size of the cover that fits the main screen, than having both those bad quality little LCD screens. I like the 3DS, but when I'm playing Resident Evil Revelation in it, All I could wish was that the screen would be bigger, it's really very little for those kind of games :( Also I can only focus my eyes at one single screen at a time! Specially if I'm playing in 3D, I have to take my eyes from main screen and look for the second screen just to see the radar, or some little extra's of the game. And a FACT is that two screens for a handheld device, is just a very huge power consumption, it will eat lot more than actually having a screen with the size of the two screen's together. If u seen Vita's Reistance, u can see that to throw a grenade, u just grab it with ur fingers and u drag ur fingers for where at the screen u want the grenade to be thrown at. That is something cool, that won't happen on 3DS :(. ps: I would prefer to have the radar of the games in the main screen with a bigger size screen. (That's just my opinion).
@FlameBeast4000 Actually the Vita screen don't have backlight... In an Oled screen, actually each pixel of the screen as it's own light, there's no backlight in it. So it really is the highest quality u can get nowadays. Also LCD screens don't have much contrast, because the black is made like if it was just a color trying to block the backlight, but it never totally block it. In an OLED screen, actually the black is really made by turning that part of the screen completely OFF, and it doesn't waste energy to make the black color. In an LCD it still needs to waste energy to be constantly making the black color. About the games... Well I wasen't really trying to say that 3DS games are better or not than Vita games... But behind the games, talking about coding and making the game, most of the 3DS games look like dreamcast games, which can be made in less time than advanced games such as Uncharted and most of the PS3 titles. What I want to say is that while they take months to make a little game for the 3DS with the Dreamcast kind quality and sell them for 49.99 eur here, Vita has games that take ages to make. Specially if GT ever comes to Vita, that game took years and years of research and technology on the PS3 and even the ps3 version can be bought for just 25 eur here brand new...
