@FlameBeast4000 U can't really compare most Nintendo games to 360\PS3 games... PS1\Dreamcast\PS2 games never needed updates... but they were also "dead" consoles. What I mean is that they really didn't had online or barely no good online features... Nintendo is just a little further then them, but way back Vita\360\ps3 and probably even iphone and android games... Most games don't need updates... however if someone discovers how to cheat, an update can lock that... if people don't like a certain online feature, they may change it... There's just infinite options with the updates and DLC. And there's lot's of games which u can download new things for free. So u always say fot them to have made it that way in first time... However games like most of nintendo games aren't even meant for an online gameplay or for not much online. There isn't a single game that makes a lot of impact such as BF3 or so on the nintendo gaming list... And then games like skyrim... It's nearly impossible to have released a game with so much things and so much scrip running with no bugs. You say updates aren't much important for nintendo... Well that's maybe because nintendo doesn't have a game as advanced as skyrim, or a game with no ending which is always coming new things...
@ale1ale3 Nintendo is greedy, yes I agree. But the 3DS is not made of old hardware, it is a impressive device even though if it can't compete with the Vita... The 3D counts a lot, that was innovative. And if you actually see the Resident Evil Revelation running on a 3DS it looks really like a PS3 game (sadly it's the only one with this much quality, but shows what the console is capable of, and that game in fact isn't far from Vita's games). I agree in the games, like a black and white gameboy 1 from the 80's cost like 4 eur here when the game doesn't even have copyrights anymore. And most games are like dreamcast quality and cost 50 eur here... ps: 3DS also has 2 analog sticks and triggers (with the circle pad pro), for me all nintendo needs is more games for grown up ppl like me who like a lot Resident evil titles...
@FlameBeast4000 Again... the nintendo can doesn't interest me... I want to see it. The console have almost a year and the first demo only appeared like in Jan of this year. Vita just appeared and has lot more content and demos. Sonny always put a lot more effort into it's consoles than nintendo could even think about it. GT is a proof of that, 3GB of just updates are really something and the game is always changing for better and getting more and more content.. About the screen, u said to not compare my LED TV to 3DS screen, but well in fact even Vita's screen is a lot better than my TV, just loses really at brightness as of course... About Nintendo, the hardware is nothing special of course, but Nintendo really innovated with the 3D without glasses, but for me sadly it's all it got that can compete with Vita. Because Vita's hardware is very far away from 3DS. Vita is the most powerful gadget of the moment, even more than any mobile phone (But sadly will soon lose against mobile phones too). About the Nintendo they are kinda greedy for selling a game like super mario that looks a lot like a dreamcast game at 50 eur here, which is the price of a FULL HD game for my xbox360... Vita has more advanced games near my xbox360 games and most sell for cheaper here. For me nintendo really needs to make more games like Resident Evil Revelation and needs a huge pricedrop here.
@bigboy2069 3D is an extra, doesn't increase the physical screen quality (it won't give better contrast\colors\brightness...). Vita screen could also be 3D. Nintendo uses a special filter that makes one screen to go to your right eye, and the other screen to go to your left eye... screens usually make it by having high refresh rates and then the glasses are the one that makes one eye to see the images on one frequency and the other makes it show the other frequency... In fact in the PC world 3D screens are all more expensive and have lot less quality than the normal ones... Like when I bought my LED TV, a 3D one cost lot more and had every option worse than mine. All what was better was the 120hz (but that's just really needed for the 3D on most pc screens, doesn't give any quality), the rest was lot worse, lot worse contrast... Resolution and colors were the same, but the color balance still comes better in a good quality LCD than it's 3D version of the same hardware. Also mine is 1ms the 3D one is 5ms... And the 3D of the PC screens are lor more expensive than the one 3DS has, because pc uses 2 images at same time, but each at 60hz of difference between each other, and that requires a very different kind of hardware ~120hz...
@FlameBeast4000 How can u say that? So let's say if nintendo updated their games and let's say make a second game from the super mario wouldn't u love it? Well I love the fact that if I buy a game like BF3, more maps are always coming... It's impossible for a game to come without end from the beginning... About the Screen it doesn't matter if it is an LCD (neon or led), CRT, OLED... The quality of the screen is a matter of contrast\brightness\dot-pitch\color balance... And in fact all Portable devices LCD are LED LCD. LED TV is just an LCD such as 3DS LCD, but with brighter and whiter LEDS... 3DS screen doesn't really have that much of a high quality. It can't even be compared with my N-95 LCD screen from like 2007 or that... The lighting effects doesn't matter. Even the PC games which have a lot of shader; what's supposed to be black must be as black as possible and not gray, that's the first thing to determinate the quality of a screen...
@FlameBeast4000 About the 3DS screen... Of course 3DS has better graphic capabilities, but that has nothing to do with the screen quality... If you want I can even compare it with a xbox 360 game full of shadows on my LED TV... Actually the shadows come super black on my TV and everything is really very dark and the light is so shinny that my eyes even burn, that's how a good screen quality should be... The 3DS screen actually is a lot grayed out when compared to the PSP screen specially the one on the GO (And I'm not sayinf PSP is better, hell I even hate the original PSP, and I like 3DS)... Shadows are deep black not gray, a dark world should be very dark and not grayed out by the backlight which the Bad quality LCD filters didn't even filtered much... And actually when ur playing with the 3DS u cant see much of it's bad quality. Just like when I play in the PC with my old 2003 LCD it looks Bad ASS. But as soon as I turn my Led TV ON I start to see the huge difference. You can only see the difference when comparing screens side-by-side.
