gundamfan, he said First Person Shooter.
I think it might be abit before we see a 60frames/1080p FPS.

[QUOTE="GeneralX84"][QUOTE="Denji"]No release date have been officially released that's why. It's not bull cause it's true, there isn't any. All we know is "Early '08" That's it.
Denji
but the TGS trailer said winter 2007, then next frame "worldwide simultaneous release"
No it doesn't. It says Early 2008, then world wide release. If I were able to screen shot videos I'd show you. It's not Winter 07. I don't know where you guys are getting this from.
The Winter 2007 thing is posted on the Konami TGS site. Not sure if its a typo or not, sent an email to Ryans podcast to ask him if it was or not, hope he reads it.

what are you talking about? NGS is 60 fps 1080p, Lair is 30 fps 1080p, and I'm pretty sure Heavenly Sword is 60 fps and 1080 (haven't bought it yet). So unless we hit a time warp and these games aren't out yet, we've already hit the mark.
those fully hyped games deserved:D
PS3 Lair = 46.5k
Warhawk w/headset= 58.6k
Blue Dragon = 53.6kso what cows said warhawk sold more than 100k first week is totally a joke
as for heavenly sword, a friend told me ,he first beat the game in only 5 hours ,the game suffered a lot from framerate.
and when he bought the game at EB, a staff told him HS sales better than lair, but still less than mp3,bioshock preorder number on first day.

the numbers for warhawkdon't account for the downloads. The leaderboardswere at 100k and you can't share the download or have multiple accounts, so do the math.
[QUOTE="gundamfan80"]I wouldn't be surprised if they ported it to PS3 as well. The game has been very well received and is selling like crack, so why wouldn't they want to sell another million units. I mean they already have the code for the PS3 so its not like they would have a lot of work left to do so it would pretty much be easy money.apolloluke
no game that wasnt bundled with the ps3 has ever sold a million units.
umm, you know resistance and motorstorm sold over a million before they bundled them, right?
360 B+ Hardware failure, expensive add ons, and micro-transactions are major drawbacks IMO, but many good games
Wii C- the Wii has the highest percentage of low quality games, and frankly what good is a game console with mostly low quality games
PS3 B- very high quality hardware, high percentage of quality games, largest back catalog, but smallest current gen library, still a bit too expensive, and PSN still has some features missing
[QUOTE="nyc05"]Again I'll say that the 360 does offer a more streamlined experience, this is not debatable, but the PSN comes through where it needs to, and that's in the performance of the games. Sony is updating the PSN on almost a monthly basis, and Home will bring much needed features to the PS3 like the much asked for in game XMB.
I am extremely excited for what Home will bring, and it will only add to the excellent, free service that Sony has provided.

but the way i see it... are all the ideas behind Home need to implemented into a Virtual World? i like the things inside Home such as the bowling and pool game... but Sony could have just as easily made something like a "Sony Arcade," which can work like Yahoo's game section. no need to walk to a pool table, or go and sit down on a chair when it is not your turn to bowl... just have a screen pop up and have you start playing the game.
i dunno... its just that the idea of having to actually walk around to get to stuff (which seems kinda slow from the footage we have all seen) might become irritating after a while. i personally got annoyed in MMO games when i would have to walk to a city just so that i can turn in a quest, and i can see Home turning into the same thing.
as for throwing "parties" in your apartment... sorry to offend anyone, but i just think that something like that sounds lame.
the "party" thing is lame if your doing that instead of actual social interaction but for some one like me it works out great. My 2 best friends have moved away in the last year ( one to the other side of the state and one to the other side of the country) and this lets us get together and talk, watch a new movie, or share a new cd. The way I see it home is a god send for someone like me as I may only get to see these 2 once a year when they visit their parents for the holidays.
