@queuing_for_PS4 @GunnyHath The Last of Us should be a good game, but it doesn't change the numbers. I'd argue that MGS4 on PS3 looks better than most games, still. But that doesn't mean the PS3 is better, nor does it mean the PC is better. My argument is simply that neither is superior, but in terms of power and potential, the PC wins, and always has.
@Karmazyn @GunnyHath @queuing_for_PS4 It's not an argument of value, simply performance ("Greater force"). I suppose you could look at it either way, but in a year Titan level processing will be $200, and the PS4 will not.
@frozenuxThere are pros and cons to both, but if you look at real world performance they're pretty close. And 2-4 Titans of course stomp it. << LINK REMOVED >> The variances will be with one engine over another, whether they take advantage of what the Titan can do. But really by the time we need to replace our 590s, there will be something better than the Titan anyway. Direct 590 to 680 comparison, the 590 still edges the win, imho. << LINK REMOVED >>
@frozenux @GunnyHath The 590 is actually faster than the Titan, in most tests, because it's dual GPU. It's a great card. I would love a SLI Titan setup though.. but I'm going to wait until I can't max games out. There will be something better by then, anyway.
I'm running it maxed @ 1920x1200 on my GTX 590 (stock), i7 2600k (stock), 16GB Corsair Vengeance (Stock); just for people wondering if their specs can handle it. You don't need an extreme edition CPU.
No John St John? That's one sad advertisement. It can't control well.. unless you have a bluetooth controller or something. Still, for $2 it will be fun for someone. I'll play it on the PC, though.
