yeah.. i was looking forward to playing it all day and then when i got home i found out that its not being released until later tonight around 6 my time :(...bummer i wanted to play it all day. well whatever, ill be getting some awesome tfc2 action soon enough.

Well, unless you dont have a newer system capable of accommodating the huge line up of good games coming out sept-november, i would say neither one. COD2 is not nearly as fun as the original game series, the multi-player gets boring eventually and WOW you have to pay monthly for and spend countless hours on. If you have to pick between those two go with call of duty because it will tide you over until the new games come out and WOW would just be a waste of time and money. COD 4 and crysis will kill these games =p

Hey there, just curious as to how many people pr-ordered the orange box and are going to play the TFC2 beta tomorrow which comes with the purchase =p

Im super excited for this game because i used to have countless hours of laning fun with this game at my buds house back in thesday...im in need for a new source engine game. As soon as my philosophy and government lectures are over at 10:45 a.m. tomorrow im heading home to play the beta :D

i dont completely trust gamespot as much as i used to, but what i do now is check out ign, gamespot and pc gamer reviews because those are my top 3 trusted review sources. out of the three, i trust pc gamer and ign over gamespot but i still enjoy reading gamespot reviews. in all honesty, you cant trust any of them because each person likes different styles of games. you have to understand that the ratings cant cater to everybodys taste. if you're going to trust anything, subscribe to pc gamer.

i know my 7900gs cant run dx10 but in the source games my 7900 gets 80-150 FPS with all high settings which makes me believe that running games in dx10 with an 8600 is going to be a nightmare =/. im kind of dissapointed in its performance in this thread. anyways, im glad you can at least enjoy the card and im not out to bad mouth it but it just makes me want to save for an 8800 even more, or at least wait for a price drop.

got my new build up and running a couple days ago...turns out my mushkin memory was bad, ill have to send it back. i just want to thank the people on the forums that helped me troubleshoot! anyways, i got everything installed including the latest nvidia drivers for my video card and i cant access, or at least i cant seem to find the advanced video options in order to turn off vertical sync. everytime i open the nvidia control panel the only options available to me are these:



the control panel used to look like this, which was awesome because you could customize settings for game profiles etc, how do i access this menu?

i dont really feel comfertable doing that cause i could trash my motherboard. hmmm, if it comes down to it i guess. i might have to take this thing to the geek squa eventually. crap, i just wish this would work. do i have to do anything to my sta hardrive before installing windows in order to make windows properly install? i dont have another sata computer to configure it so i have no idea how i would even do that anyways.
