alright the issue now is i can sometimes get into bios and sometimes not...but when i do get to bios from the splash screen i cant arrow around or anything...also i was about to install xp and it had some stranger error and now im getting more and more black screens when i power the system up...any suggestions?

yeah i was thinking about picking one up tomorrow...

You can usually buy a cheap $5 dollar mouse(usually come with ps2 adapter) for cheaper than buying the adaperter buy itself.

plus you get a extra mouse

went to best buy bought a 20 dollar keyboard with the adapter...couldnt find any mice with one =p thanks for the help ill getback to you guys.

Hitting the power button a couple of time to get it to start booting could mean the PSU is defective, that could be the reason why you aren't getting USB lighting. It could also be a defective MB. You could test the PSU if you have a multimeter or if you have a halfway decent computer store nearby they sell PSU testers for under $15.

ayyyeee well maybe ill try getting a tester. the computer turns on but i cant turn it off =/ still nothing on the screen.

it could be your mobo that's the only thing i can think off.

Have you already tried to hook up your mouse and keyboard in the front panel?
see if that works.
