Thank you, Just4Yoshi and Pokemon

Thanks to them, i have had an enjoyable gaming experience again.

Incase you haven't already, check out Just4Yoshi's blog here before reading this one.

Done? Alright, here it is!

So, I read that, and noticed that I too was in a "long spell of not having a good time with video games" and decided that if Pokemon brought him a good time, maybe it could for me as well. So, I pulled out my game bag, dumped out all my GBA games, and looked for Emerald. No luck. I then remeber that I had lost it some time ago. So, I tried Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red. No luck, it isn't my type of game right now.

I rented NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams a few days ago, and although it is fun, I stopped playing recently due to a truly challenging boss that I've tried 17 (I counted) times to beat, but no luck, so I left that for a bit. I will be returning it today, and instead of re-renting it like I planned, I'll wait for my birthday, because I have something better for the moment.

Pokemon Pearl. I forgot that I even had this game until today, when I looked in my DS game carrier and found it. I hadn't played in awhile, due to my Action Replay ruining the experience. However, my AR was at a friends house, as I was letting them borrow it, so I decided to give it a shot.

I'm glad I did. This game is incredible. Even if you aren't a Pokemon fan, the RPG styIe of it is truly fun. Pokemon Blue for the Gameboy Color was my first Pokemon game, and my first RPG game. I've been a fan of the series ever since I bought that game.

So, after having some minor trouble wiith erasing the AR'ed save, I finally got into it and played. I managed to clock a good hour and twenty+ minutes without even realizing it. This was a truly joyful experience. I managed to catch a Bidoof, now level 5, a Starly, now level five, and a Shinx, now level five. My starter, Piplup, is level nine, and because I was training instead of progressing the story, I still have to deliver a parcel to the character's friend (who, personally, I find annoying).

So, thank you Just4Yoshi for inspiring me, and thank you Pokemon for a truly fun experience.

Yes, I am aware that this is longer than most of my blogs. Tough. :P

Also, for those of you who haven't read it already, my fanfic, which I posted the latest episode of today, is right below this blog.

The Misadventures of Micorp the 'Maren chapter 3

Chapter 3: The Mission

Micorp was in her room, waiting for something to do. She had recovered a long time ago, and decided against the dinner idea. Almost all of the Humaren annoyed her, anyway. She had been thinking. 'Is Wizeman really doing the right thing here? Should I really trust him? I don't like this anymore.' She kept thinking about it to herself, and had even let the last dreamers dream without her turning it into a nightmare.

She had also been thinking of NiGHTS, the first 'Maren to rebel against Wizeman. He'd done it. Why not her? She thought about it, until a messenger 'Maren flew into her room. She looked at it with disdain. third level, simple little minion. She considered paralooping it, but then thought again. That would have Wizeman coming down on her with at least on of those weird hands of his. She decided to listen to the simple minion.

"Master Wizeman wants you to go to him right now!" The little minion exclaimed. It had a bug-like voice, mixed with one of those double voices, like the one Bomamba had. Stupid Witch... Micorp hated that voice. DESPISED it, in fact. It was almost annoying as Jackle's voice.

Speaking of the annoying little pile of clothing, she was beginning to remember that she hadn't stolen his cards yet. After that, she remembered that she had decided against it because she was beginning to suspect that he had an infinite amount of cards. It would be impossible to get all--

"Hello?" The annoying little voice cut into her thoughts. She remembered what was going on. "Master Wizeman--"

"Yes, yes, I heard you the first time!" Her cat-like voice cut in. "I was just thinking about something, ok?" 'Something this little idiot could never do...' She added to silently. She got up, stretched, and flew down to Handman's chambers. Or whatever they were called, she really didn't care. Mr. Hands was really starting to annoy her. She knocked on the door, and it creaked open. She took that as an invitation to come in, and did just that.

Mr. Handman stared at her with three of his six hands, the other three staring off into space as usual. "You are late," he announced, as though anyone in the area-- herself and Handman-- didn't know.

She made another mental note that calling him Handman instead of his real name was fun. "It's not my fault you sent a slow minion to fetch me," She remarked.

"It was not slow, you were just slow to react!" His booming voice... boomed.

"Yeah, it kinda interrupted me right in the middle of an important thought," She replied.

"We can discuss who's fault it is when you get back," Handman said, as though the previous event had never happened.

This caught Micorp by surprise. "Get back? Get back from what?"

"Why, your mission, of course. Your mission to find and destroy NiGHTS, or at least bring him back."

New avatar again!

Yes, a new avatar. That guy with 6 hands and an eye on each hand is Wizeman (not a typo, it actually is Wizeman, not Wiseman) and he is the creator of Nightmare from niGHTS. So there.

The Misadventures of Micorp the 'Maren chapter 2

Here it is! It's not my best one, or my longest.

Chapter 2: The 'Maren return

Micorp stared out the door to her room. She had stopped dangling her feet long ago, and since then has been fidgeting with some of the things she had collected over the years of her existence. It was better than fidgeting with her feet, anyway. She then heard many voices and the sound of footsteps, and watched the search party return. Jackle-- the little annoyance-- was among them, and had that stupid little grin of his. Except it was wider than usual.

She hated Jackle. Hated him beyond belief. That little second level brat thought that because he was older, he was better! SHE was the first level 'Maren, not that stupid little pile of laundry! It seemed that his only goal in life was to annoy her! She hated that little brat, and made a mental note to steal some of his cards when she could fly again. She heard a loud cry, and saw Gillwing. He glanced into her room, mumbled something in whatever language it was that he spoke, and flew off again.

Micorp liked Gillwing. And Clawz. In fact, she liked most of the Animaren. They all seemed to like her as well. She liked them because most of them would let her talk to her without saying anything rude like "Wow. You actually did that?" Or "You're such an idiot!" She thought this was because the Animaren weren't created for intelligence, just fierceness. However, she hated Chamelon. He reminded her too much of Jackle. She made a mental note to steal his cards as well.

Whenever she had no other 'Maren to talk to, she released her clone. Micorp had the unique ability to clone herself, but only to make one clone. They shared energy, however, so it made her weaker. Still, talking to the clone got boring sometimes, as they shared a brain. If 'Maren had brains. Do they? She made a mental note to ask someone about that after stealing Jackle and Chamelon's cards. Also, she shouldn't so this too often, as it drained her energy. Not that you need much energy to talk all day.

So anyway, the clone always agreed with her, never offering anything new to the table. That's the only thing she liked about the other Humaren. They all had something new to bring to the table. Mental note: Invite the other Humaren to dinner at a table. Tell them all to bring something. Except Jackle. Then again, he would still be mourning the loss of his cards. Invite Jackle, then make a lot of subtle remarks about cards. Play card games. If they get into a disagreement, tell them to dray cards. Whoever got the ace first wins. Don't let Jackle near any of the cards. Make a lot of torso comments. Have Jackle sit at the door, so she can talk through him-- literally!-- to anyone outside if she needs to.

Yeah, that'll give him something to cackle about!

NiGHTS Fanfiction: the Misadventures of Micorp the 'Maren chapter 1

Hey. I'm making a new fanfic, so here it is. This fanfic goes on the basis of:

A. Wizeman made more 1st level 'Maren after NJOD
B. Wizeman is never destroyed, simply defeated
C. When a 'Maren is destroyed, instead of going away, they just fall unconscious for a bit and continue existing
D. NiD and NJOD happened in the same sdimension and universe and stuff (they co exist together as one world)

I'll post it every Monday, and inbetween Mondays every now and then. So, here's the first chapter! Pleasse tell me what you think.

The Misadventures of Micorp the 'Maren

Chapter 1: The first impression

In a large, cube room, there was a lone 'Maren. She was sitting on a large, white chair in the center of the room. She was dangling her legs off the chair and fidgeting with them, staring at her feet. 'Useless lumps of tissue...' she thought to herself.

She was yellow in color, with a blue vest covering her whole torso. She had thin legs, but an average sized torso and arms. Her head, which had horns pointing straight up, was egg shaped. She was bored, and it showed on her face. If one concentrated on her right glove, they would notice the bump on her palm. She was restless.

She was created awhile after NiGHTS and Reala, and thus was usually seen as one of the inferior 'Maren, despite her 1st level rank. She usually hadn't minded, until today. Today, all the others created before her had gone on an Ideya hunt, or maybe a hunt for NiGHTS. She really didn't care. What she DID care about, however, was that she had not been allowed to come due to her inferiority.

She had tried to reason with them. "You must realize," she had said, "That with my clone, I could cover more distance! It would be like having two of me along instead of just one!" But no, "Master" Wizeman simply ignored her, and tossed her aside with his upper right hand. Before leaving, she heard him mutter something along the lines of "You ask me too much." So here she was, locked up in her own room.

It was, according to her Waking world clock, the middle of the day, so dreamers were rare, although she had gotten one or two. Still, this meant that she couldn't do either of her favorite things: Sleep or fly. She couldn't sleep because there were more dreamers today, and she was one of the only 'maren left. She couldn't fly because she had accidentally hit a wall last time, and was recovering. So all she could do all day until the other 'Maren returned was dangle her feet, scare the occasional visitor, steal the even more rare White Ideya.

She didn't even know why they needed more White Ideya. It wasn't like they didn't have enough already. But, such is the life of an inferior 'Maren. She couldn't even wander the castle that easily, as her feet were useless. She had never used them before, and was not about to now. To speak to "Master" Wizeman, she had to get an even MORE inferior 'Maren to take her to see him! She felt ashamed.

Her name was Micorp, and she knew that this was going to be a long, boring day.

Saw Indiana Jones today

And I LOVED it. It was AMAZING. Perfect balance of plot and action, and IMO it had an interesting plot. I won't give it away, but I will tell you this: Return. think about it.

I have a cold...

Yeah, I have a bad cold right now, so don't expect me to be on very often for awhile... also, don't expect me to always make sense and spell things right...
