sigh. stalker 2 is not a pc exclusive. The lack of effort here (and an increase in ads across the site) makes me come back for gaming news less and less each month.
Good, never liked that they went the comedy route and the cookie monster voice. Couldn't even make it through 5 mins of the second movie, despite my extremely low expectations of a pg13 carnage. Hopefully they reboot it and properly include Spiderman.
I still don't get why they opted for low/high specs at 1080p and skipped 1440p and then went straight to 4k. A lot of gamers play at 1440p and they now have to guess where there system sits in this range of requirements. Keep in mind 1080p is also more CPU intensive, meaning that the recommended non ray tracing (high) CPU requirements are not indicative of what you will need to hit 60fps on 1440p; at 1440p your GPU will do more of the heavy lifting. I'm still rocking a 10 gen 10850k and I should be fine at high settings 60+fps.
I'm a bit surprised they are offering 20% when a lot of new releases are getting 13-15% this year; Granted we are talking a few dollars difference in most cases. the $80 premium offer is tempting, I just hope the sale stays until launch and that the review embargo is up on the day of the 5 day early access or a few days before. This will probably be a last minute decision for a lot of folks as gmg purchase doesnt come with a 2 hr refund protection.
If I had money to burn id bet that this max change will get reversed in less than a year after max underperforms; such a stupid move made by C level executives. I rarely enjoy even half of the lineup of content available on hbomax, it might be worth it to just buy the shows I want on disc or digital platforms like prime (if available).
