There has been talk about having a national ID card for everyone in the U.S., but critics bring up issues about privacy. Much of the criticisms are nothing more than scare-mongering.

Have you contacted Nintendo's customer support on this problem?

My favorite "most ridiculous" System War claims:

a) The Wii is not a console, but a toy. The Wii is both a home console and toy like the PS3 and Xbox 360.

b) The Wii is not "next-gen" or "current-gen." The Wii is a current-generation console because it was released around the time frame of the Xbox 360 and PS3. Technology has nothing to do with whether it is "last-gen" or not.

c) The PC is not a system.

d) The Wii has no games. It is a game system with a huge library. "Games" should not be defined narrowly as only games of "AA"+ quality.

e) The Wii is a fad. Even though its sales are down this year does not mean that it is a fad. It is still selling hundred of thousands of units each month since release. It falling sales are due to lack of games that sell wildly like Super Mario Kart Wii. However, its recent price-cut and the release of New Super Mario Bros. Wii will put the "fad" claim to rest.

People may have to realize that not everyone needs to drive, especially if they live near good public transportation (New York City, Tokyo, etc). I just wish that the United States is less car-dependent and have less urban sprawl (which makes us car-dependant) as it is a benefit to the environment.

To the TC, to prove that you are 18 years old without a driving license, you may want to apply for an ID card. It is cheaper and easier to get an ID card than a driving license.

Even if the thought of Sony and Microsoft merging as one company comes to light, it may run into problems as shareholders may object to the merger, and the U.S. and Japanese governments may investigate whether it is a violation of anti-trust laws. Having two video game companies instead of three may pose a threat to competition, as there are less competitors. A duopoly (Sony-Microsoft and Nintendo) is a problem to competition as a monopoly.

Even if I have such a power, I would not use it because I am not self-rightous, elitist, nor arrogant.

It seems that the simple advice of "If you don't like it, don't buy it, watch it, etc." is often ignored here.

I did use Steam to download the demo of Empire: Total War, but had to stop using it because my PC was not powerful enough to run the game. I do not want to spend much money upgrading my PC to play high-profile games.

The fact that a game like this:

is being released shows that girls do play with the DS. By the way, the Japanese version sold over 800K copies in Japan and debuted by selling around 91,000 copies in its first week last October.

It would be interesting that a Tales of game that was originally released on a home console with the least number of users in Japan (Xbox 360) was then ported to another home console with more users (PS3) and finally to a home console with the most number of users (i.e. Wii). Since Vesperia was released on two HD consoles, the rumored Wii version would be graphically downgraded. In order for it to sell and set itself differently from the HD versions, the rumored Wii version needs to have exclusive content.

Sometimes I do not see why people are afraid about handhelds, as I personally love their portability. I can carry a DSi or PSP almost everywhere, but not a Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3.
