Long boring boss fights, repetitive easy combat, extremely poor story, but don't worry it's only 5hrs long so you don't have to suffer too longnottu
This seems to be the consensus. Do some research before you buy; i'd recommend a rental if you really have to play it.

I've played the game first as a Soldier, then as Royalty. Royalty almost seemed like easy mode in the beginning, because i could just spam soul arrow, but by the end both classes balanced out nicely. I think starting class overall isn't as important as what upgrades you choose.

I'm one of the few that never got into the first one at all, i liked the beginning but hated the repetitive missions and vehicle sequences. However, i still picked up Mass Effect 2, and i loved it. Better combat, no vehicles (unless you count DLC). If you're unsure about playing the first one again, just go read a story synopsis to get yourself up to speed, and jump right into Mass Effect 2.

I think not just games, but horror movies have become stagnant as well. They've been redoing the same slasher movie since psycho in 1961, and game sare starting to fall into that same trap. Mostly in the way of zombie game after zombie game. The original Silent Hill, and Silent Hill 2, were both like nothing anyone had played before, in terms of narrative and visuals. I think we need to see another such evolution- something no one has seen before (not to be mistaken with simply giving us the same basic story with more gore or action, i.e. Silent Hill Homecoming). Dead Space was good fun, but as much as i love it it was just a variation on the Resident Evil formula. Siren Blood Curse had potential, but was hampered by stealth and escort missions. I think someone needs to find a way to bring multiplayer experiences to horror genre. Not team deathmatch, but a toolset like Little Big Planet has, so that a games' community can create their own narratives and gameplay sequences. Imagine something like Silent Hill 4- the room, if it had an online component where everyone could create their own little haunted apartment, or upload creepy prerendered cutscenes they've made themselves to the rooms television set. Maybe through in some other enviroments too, just to spice things up. That's my opinion anyway

Its not like hes wrong, PC editors are a lot stronger then this.

Remember when the first LBP came out, and all of these PC weirdos were talking about Garry's Mod, and that weird XBLA game that no one played, but apparently let you make your own levels? Yeah, no one cares, losers... LBP is awesome.

So since the PS3 won, are you going to give it a trophy or something now? Seriously, who cares? E3 isn't an awards show.

As much as i love my PS3. and enjoy playing games for free online; i really like being able to try out every game on XBLA before i buy it. it seems that the majority of games on PSN never get demos, even big releases like Joe Danger (which is the main reason i never considered purchasing that title).

[QUOTE="mr_poodles123"][QUOTE="telefanatic"] [QUOTE="clyde46"] wow man, you should just buy a PC because singleplayer is dying out.

fail troll.

How is that a troll? Singleplayer only games are dying out on the xbox. If you don't want multiplayer for xbox, you are missing out on the biggest part of the console.

I don't know if he was talking about you or me there........ But regardless, i play multiplayer elsewhere. I'm missing out on Gears of War, and Halo, but i can play any other game online for free elsewhere. Not worth it, if you ask me. And i wouldn't necessarily agree that i'm missing out on the biggest part of the console.

[QUOTE="hbk7137"]I've only played the first Halo years ago. A friend and I played co op story mode and beat the entire game in just a few hours. i'm not really in the habit of purchasing games that only last a few hours unless they're downloadable games, and hearing stories about Halo ODST's length prevented me from purchasing that title once i had my 360. I refuse to pay for xbox live gold, so multiplayer isn't a factor for me.mr_poodles123
wow man, you should just buy a PC because singleplayer is dying out.

I use Steam all the time, and I can play multiplayer just fine on my PS3 for free. I've played about 100 hours on killzone 2. I really bought my 360 just for single player games like Mass Effect 2 and lost odyssey.
