if you look at the world map on halo 3 to see who is playing in the world the east coast US is lit up like a christmas tree.

Actually Sony sent an Invite to Microsoft and Toshiba to offer their technology with Blu-=ray to enhance their hardware line up and to try and push away HD DVD a while ago. I need to find the link for that. It was on Tomshardware.com

Your absolutly right on that one. It was on an artical here in gamespot and was discussed a thousand times on systems wars.

Microsoft has nothing to lose by offering a blu-ray add on for the 360.

If anything Microsoft has everything to gain. Lets say blu-ray is the next gen format and hd-dvd dies out, all pc games will eventually be through blu-ray and the drives for your pc and windows operating systems that support it with drivers means big dollars for games for windows and such.

Sony themselves wouldnt really be hurt because im sure there are certain royalty fees they get from anyone selling a blu ray player and if this helps Sony edge out hd-dvd then they rollin in the money.

Everyone wins in that regard.

Getting blu ray in the homes of millions has obviously been sonys plan from teh get go with teh ps3, im sure someday it will be a fun gaming machine as well but with out a doubt its all about the blu ray first with that company.

Look for either a Samsung or LG brand.

Mayeb Sony but might be pricey.

Also a good thing to look for in these tvs for gaming is response time.

Quicker that is teh better.

A high response time can lead to ghosting or tracers for instance in fast moving sports games/tv.

My reason, PGR4 ranked single player championship.

On first track he crushes me and another player we drop out of race really quick, second track does it to the other racer again but I was lucky enough to get by for victory.

It was a tight one going in to final race he takes me out right quick but the guy he bullied spanks him and a few others

"ll desolator ll" fails to achieve victory and sends the other racer and myself a message

"I hope you get cancer in your brain and die stupid noob"

I think its funny because no one was upset with him and played his game and beat him yet he gets so emotional when he finnishes 4th in championship.

For the last little while I been playin a lot of poker with web cam on live and this guy from UK plays every night with me.

Use your imagination so I dont get modded about what goes on.

Anyway he said he was gonna come to Canada and hang out with me, I never really believeed him but told him if he did I would hang out with him.

So last night while playing he told me he was at a hotel room in a city where I lived and told me I should go over there and hang out.

So I did.

He actually was there, I in all honesty was hoping it was some sort of prank because it would just seem odd he would fly all the way over to hang out with me.

Anyway to keep everything toned down we had a blast for about 6 hours last night and he was a perfect gentleman.

I can't sleep cause it was that much fun.

Anyone else have any simular stories.

Sure I traded in my PS3 but if you guys really want one with backwards compatability and at a cheap price have you ever considerd used?

Maybe used isnt your style but you can get these things at a good price in some places.

Some places near where I live have actually decided to lower the price as in store specialto get rid of them.

Just look around and stop complaining.

I think what it all means now is that now Bungie can makea new brand of game, MS can retain it exclusivly if it wants or let it pass by to other consoles.

Most sites are reporting Halo for example is still MS owned along wit bungie and will remain a MS exclusive.

If anything to me it seems like giving your a dog a bigger leash and a little more freedom.
