WellI personnally wasn't satisfied with what the PS3 had to offer from launch till Lair so I traded it in but I do agree with some of the dumb threads about the PS3 being sold cheaper as a desperate measure being stupid.

The one thing I honestly wanna know though is and someone else touched on this in the desperation thread.

Why is the rumar its gonna be bundled with spider man 3 movie when its supposed to be a gaming machine?

the only arguement I will agree with completly about that system and company is that they dont care for their long time fans of a true gaming system like ps1 and ps2 by shoving blu-ray down our throats.

Sure you can say but the ps2 had the cheapest dvd drive at the time.....but it was the format, vhs was on the verge of death.

This time though its different and true playstation fans are getting screwed by it.

The format isnt the only problem.

Not everyone has an hdtv to play that system or watch movies in true high def.

Im not gonna tell you playstation fans to buy a 360, wii or build a pimp pc but seriously.....look at this situation.

If you buy into something now that has always been TOLD OR BEEN WRITTEN ON PAPER as a masterpiece and teh future of gaming for our entertainment yet has failed to live up to any expectations and from what I can tell relys on blu-ray format to riegn supreme AND blu-ray fails or stays in competition forever with hd-dvd and Sony keeps working harder and harder to get rid of that headache and forgets about you people then your gonna get burnt and regret the money you spent.

I believe in teh just wait theory. Do yourself a favor and just wait.

Get this system when your games are here, I bet you will see a true price cut of an 80gb by then.

I really beat myself up thinking about the loss I took on buying it at launch and what I got in for trade.

Dont be another victim, trade values are down system is gonna get even cheaper.

You will have the biggest paper weight for about 5 months is you buy now.

Price cut wont make a system any better, the quality of the games on the system will.

Well I will answer the question and say yes I would buy it.

Traded in my PS3 over the not great quality of games but it still doesnt take away the fact Sony played a big role in my gaming life.

I agree with you that competition is not really needed between the two.

Games would be made for this potetential console but with a variety that would only rival the PC and since Microsoft likes having their OS in pc's gaming would get its competition from there because despite what someof you think pc gaming is not dead.

Go with the 360 for games with longevity.

Go with PS3 if you like rushing through games with no replay value.

Multiplayer even though you have to pay on 360 kills the PS3.

Howveer if you are a bundle consumer and want that blu-ray movie feature then get the PS3.

Its the only selling point I can really think of.

well, you my friend just paid enough money right there where you could of built a ****PC.

With today it probably wont be hard to imagine just how easy it will be to port the wannabe musician games to the pc, considering Vista/XP have drivers for 360 controllers and such wire less ones at that.

You also mention skill, well stupid noob if you ever played a FPS or RTS on a PC you will realize it is **** noobified compared to a controller(WITH AUTO AIM OFF OF COURSE) because all you have to do is point and click...so maybe you should of said I like a challenge thats why i use a controller.
