now imagine if the xbox/starfield fans acted towards FF7 rebirth like the ponies acted towards Starfield.... I mean, I do hope it ends up good, better than FF7R because I would certainly buy it once it comes on PC 3 years later.
You're definitely playing wrong if you have to plan your open world character ahead. The best way to enjoy those game is to improvise from start to finish. There is no such a thing as "thinking before acting".
@majikayo666: It's literally trying to be, as said by Todd Howard himself, "Skyrim in space". It is exactly the same kind of game, giving you a huge open world with several different quests, factions, secondary activities and a huge crafting/customization system. The only philosophy in that kind of game is "make your very own character and play your very own story", which means you don't have to feel forced to do everything there is to do in the game. You probably won't ever do everything there is to do. Pretty much all the possibilities you mentioned are in there (and more) so you can decide yourself what you want your game to be. Wanna go stealth? The game can let you do that. Wanna go pure gun combat? no problem! the game offers plenty of run and gun or space fights opportunity. Wanna go political and dipplomatic? Yeah, sure, there's a whole charisma oriented skills set. Wanna go wild with crafting and customizing your stuff? The game seems to allow you to build pretty much anything. Go for it.
top be fair, it's not just about making enemy crowd control less cruel, but about giving them more variety. Monsters have 2 ways of being hard: abusing crowd control or abusing poison. The only reason why I'm getting tired of D4 already is the lack of combat variety you get from the enemies. It all comes down to 2 things: either you avoid poison pool or you manage being crowd controlled.
@angrycreep: tell me you know nothing about game development (or coding/networking in general) without telling me you know nothing about game development (or coding/networking in general). I mean, just the QA phase required for something as simple as putting some games on gamepass is at least a month or 2.... and YES, I happen to have experience (10 years, actually) in the industry.
