yes it's true the cutscene's in uncharted 2 look better than gameplay they're prerendered lol.

Because of added AF and AA, thats it. ND stated thet use the same texture assets and character models of that in the in-game

Only the main character doesn't get LOD according to Naughty's Dog's lead character artist.

I'm not sure why there's so much concern. As it has been mentioned before, playing with the numbers has its own share of legal consequences. I highly doubt CEOs want to be unemployed in this economy, harassed by auditors, or go from their lavish lifestyle to a jail cell. Nevertheless, the next shipment report will indicate what's happening as it gives the previous shipment context....context required to make these conspiracy claims. I think some are taking things a bit too literally. Thousands of any given product may be sitting somewhere and this isn't an issue. Even if there were say 300,000 PS3s sitting right now that's fine too. As long as retailers/consumers are continously buying, then you are displaying a fairly accurate picture of how you're doing. The PS3 isn't like the PSP Go for example where retailers aren't willing to stock it. In addition, keep in mind that were right before the holiday season.

Wow I literally laughed at that. That is mega horrible. I have to say it, but KB was right.

Microsoft needs to get their act together and stop relying on Kinect, the hardcore gamers is what brought them success in the first place. Gears of War 3 is the only AAA title they have left and now they are just hyping Kinectimals and whatever. This is pathetic. I have no hope for the next Xbox. At least Sony is still catering to the hardcore audience with Move while pumping out AAA first-party exclusives.

I knew HDMI 1.4 was required for a 3D output, but I thought both the 360 and PS3 could simply update firmware to enable compatability. If that is not the case, is the 360 still stuck on HDMI 1.2b?

This isn't much of a problem if Sony isn't delivering impressive/smooth 720p 3D with their studios. Most console 3D games will cutback on resolution, geometry, or do cheaper 2D + depth. It's only an issue when it comes to 3D games in HD. 360 would then have to support a HD res compliant with 1.4. They can't do 720p like the PS3, but they could go higher. Only problem is were talking about HW from 2006. Its a pipe dream.

lol troll attempt? GOW3 easily looks a league ahead graphically (In every possible way technically) and runs in 60 FPS most of the time. It has much more gameplay depth than CLOS, espicially considering you much more weapons with each having their own gameplay mechanics and uses developed specifically for a purpose. Also, GOW3 hired some very profound Hollywood actors for its voice work, meaning it probably has better voice acting. The reviews specifically stated the problems and frustrations with the puzzle and platforming sections for CLOS, while in GOW3, its nothing but praised by reviewers as a great pacer for the different gameplay segments and as something being , you know, fun...? Regardless, GOW3 has a much higher GS score and an even higher MC score...

God of War 3 doesn't run at 60 frames most of the time. Look at a performance video for a few secs or see the likely fidelity hit in an action game like Dante's Inferno.

Demo to demo, Lords of Shadow does look better. I know the retail version of GOW3 is improved, but the same could apply to Castlevania.

I know the Castlevania demo recently released, but so did the actual game as well. The GOWIII demo was an old E3 build.

I would suggest we just compare the two actual games, since they are the final products, and lucky for us, they are out.


Castlevania demo is an old build as well. Not that anyone should expect a dramatic IQ change in retail LoS.
