ve^ But bioshock, I;'ve noticed on these boards it's a crime to say you like Halo basically. Halo is one of my favorite shooters of all time. Hell, I'll even say it is my favorite shooter ever. But it's like an illegal activity to say. You can get away with saying SC is for rtss, so why not halo?

And wtf? is with my title? going to change it now. I don't think that's how I typed it.

It goes without saying, Halo is the MOST hated game on these forums. If you were to say it's one of the best games this gen, you'll be shunned. There truly is nothing wrong with saying that it is the best game of this generation. It's not to everybody, but to many it will be.

I use to be on the Halo sucks train. It was quite crowded I must say. I stopped playing Halo and I just didn't like it. One day I picked it back up and gave it another shot. (for the record, I played all of them and loved them all). I realized that Halo was awesome but for some reason I was denying it, to myself. I don't know why I did, but it is just something au the general real world gaming consensus that makes me want to dislike it. Sort of being a rebel.

However, I went back to playing it. And you know what? I liked it. Does Halo 3 deserve it's 9.5? No it, deserved a 12.5...

... joking. But Halo really is a great game. Probably my favorite this generation. Truly a complete package. But if I were to give any game a 10, it would be Halo 3. That being said, I actually prefer a rating system out of 5 (1- don't get this, 2- it's playable but sort of meh, 3- you might like it, worth a rent, 4- if you like the genre you have to get this, 5- get this- you owe it to yourself as a gamer to buy this)

But back to my main point: There's a reason why Halo scores across the board like it does and there's 300,000 people on at any single moment nearly a year after its release. (for the record- that means at once! and that's not the biggest I've seen, I've seen much larger during peek dates, much higher)

Because they liked the first one a lot? Isn't that enough? I wouldn't say that if you didn't like the first you'd like this, but it looks good.

I'm not saying it'll be awesome or even touch something on the level of Halo, but it should be good.

[QUOTE="famicommander"]No single game is worth the price of an Xbox 360.Zhengi

so why did you get a wii?

Uh, me and many other people have more interest in Wii's line up than PS3/360's. Im only interested in BK: nuts&bolts, but as he said, one game doesnt justify me buying a console. As for PS3, im interested in God of War lll, Little Big Planet & MGS4. I own 22 Wii games, by the end of the year i'll have around 32.

wait, seriously? I own 3 wii games- Super Mario Galaxy, Brawl, and Zelda. I really wasn't pleased with them. I liked SMG but it felt too linear, ssbb just doesn't do it, and Zelda felt more like a gamecube game. I rented Zack and Wiki which I thought was terrible, No More Heroes (fun playthrough), Metroid (best game on the system but should have mp), Red Steel (boring), and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 (you guys like this?)

Why do you assume other people have the same gaming tastes as you? I can go ahead and say Halo 3 felt like Halo 2, Perfect Dark Zero felt like an Xbox game, etc. on the bashing of games, and that makes it true? People have different gaming tastes and just because you don't understand them doesn't mean anything.

While I understand what you're saying, truth is that there is a clear line of quality drawn. Most gamers will like Halo. Most gamers will like Mario. And so on. There are exceptions, but truth is, if you like shooters in general of the kind of halo, you'll like it a lot. Same with SMG's. If you like that type of platforming, you'll undoubtly like it.

On the other end, Blacksite is not really a quality games. You may like modernish sci-fi shooters, but it's just so hard to like it. I find that most gamers have similar tastes, they just aren't willing to dive into things. Not completely similar though. It's sort of like the line of good and bad. Sure, it's debatable, but in the end there are good things and bad things.

I believe I would, but of course not solely for Banjo. The 360 has many good games to offer and if Banjo becomes one of them I would be futhur inclined to purchase a 360.Liquify

Best post I've ever read on these forums. It actually makes sense.

For the record, I do act like a fanboy intentionally to stir things up, although my actual thoughts are true (but ill exaggerate)

Being serious here: Why don't more wii owners buy a 360? It really is the best option for them. There really is so much diversity on the 360. There'sall the multiplatforms (and if a game is multiplatform, it's on the 360, not always ps3), the jrpgs, the wrpgs, and then the shooters. And then you've got, although limited (on all consoles) the most good platformers-type on the 360, which totals 3, lol. (in reality the wii only has 1)

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]Rare hasn't been the same since they left Nintendo.blazinpuertoroc

Look at Viva Pinata

end/ your arguement

Grabbed by the ghoulies...need i say anymore? and that was there first game on the xbox i think...terrible impression

But that's a terribly flawed arguement to make if they've improved dramastically since then.

It's like saying Rare is a terrible developer because before the SNES they really didn't make anything good. They've made Conker, which is a remake so it really doesn't count (very good, but i played it on the n64), pdz which I already said was a solid shooter but not as good as its original (who cares about rare for their FPS really?), and then kameo which was great, not a platformer though.

Seriously though, any doubts that people had of rare because of their xbox (1) productions has been swept away by Viva Pinata. Only fanboys will say otherwise. And just look at the videos! It has classic rare written all over it. Banjoland alone is enough for any fan of the game to buy it.

all of those games you stated...i own...im a huge rare fan but nothing theyve ever made on the xbox will ever compare to say banjo and kazooie or donkey kong country...Nintendo and rare together were gods...

yea, so far they haven't. But what about their upcoming games? Banjo-Kazooie could be very good. And they do have 1 more unknown project going on. And I'm sure they'll have more after that.
Something tells me Banjo will have another game in the series on the 360 again (not sure how theyll do it there), and theyll be some new ips.

And seriously- you can't possibly be a huge Banjo fan and not be excited by this new game. Just looking at an awesome graphical version of Spiral Mountain makes my banjo go off. Banjoland, just holy crap!

This is a question to the Wii only owners, more accurately, the wii owners without a 360.

If Banjo: Nuts and Bolts were to be a huge hit and everything it should be, would you get a 360 for it? Because these are the types of games you guys say you like to play (always saying that the shooters stink and whatever). Banjo: N&B, Viva Pinata, and Kameo is actually more than what the wii has of great kiddy games.
