well thats down right corny. only ownage im seeing is how much rare needs nintendo, to make a good game. it actually similar to silicon knights. Rahnyc4

Uh... ever play a little game called Viva Pinata? The only bad game Rare has made was Grabbed by Ghoulies and they're even mocking that themselves (and they explained that it turned out crappy becuase of basically a transition phase). PDZ was good, AA imo, but not as good as its original game, but then again rare is about it's platformer type games. And then Kameo was great.

But truth is, Rare does have some weird jokes. Penis shaped islands ftw!

This is the Image he is talking about. It's concept art for the new banjo game. In the picture it shows a gigantic futuristic green house (xbox360) sucking power from an old rundown blue and white shack (wii). It's Rare making fun on Nintendo, similar to what they did in the banjo video (where the plane shoots down a mario shaped object).jack_russel

Yea. thanks for explaining it. I'm a little bit.... dumb right now. But yea, it almost seems to say "You guys are failing now and we're taking what we had away from you".

Just when you thought the ownage couldn't stop- the fallen mario, the wrapped up N64, the fact that Banjo will be on the 360, there's yet another peice of ownage- when will it stop!?

http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/15334/banjo-kazooie-3/images/banjo-kazooie-nuts-and-bolts-screens-and-art-20080508022754485.html

---- Klungo's Play Emporium distinctly represents the 360. It even has the signature green light on it... but what's in front of it? A broken down mansion, this is.... a wii apparently? Look at the blue light. Offly similar. Yea, it's a wii.

Don't worry the ninty fanboys, it's bound that Rare will own the 360 lovers by giving the building the RROD at a point, that would be hilarious imo, and something Rare is likely to do.

[QUOTE="-GhostMLD-"]nothing on PS3?-Karmum-

Please, lets not pull that idiotic card.

Let me begin: God of War III, Killzone 3, FF13, FF13VS (possible), new Twisted Metal game (has been confirmed in development, probably won't make 2008), White Knight Chronicles (possible 08, maybe 09), LA Noire (has been only confirmed for PS3, 09 release, probable)

...I'm probably missing more, but I'm not saying all of these games are GOTY potential (LA Noire, WKC for instance), but you made yourself look like a fool saying no game on the PS3 has an opportunity in 09.

...so get out of here.

not to sound mean but that sounds shockingly similar to what people thought the ps3's lineup for 2008 would be. They really have to come out in 09 now, but I'm just putting that out (why does sony announce games when they basically just start the project?)

Too early to tell, my bet is on a game we don't know about but will be announced somewhat soon. Bungie's new project has a good chance I'd imagine (they do afterall one of the best track records with more than 1 game they made themselves (comparing this to valve- they have only made Half Life. CSS was based off a user mod, same with TF2. Portal is based off a university student's game

Star Wars games are almost always good. LucasArts handles almost all of them (get it LUCAS arts) and they're a great studio. They do let some other people make Star Wars games though (kotor for example)

A game were you can customize your own race, armour, buildings, vehicles, plants, planets and so on to create your own little civilisation and explore a sandbox universe populated by other races created in the same way.

What is there not to be excited about?

AnnoyedDragon

What's so fun about that?

I really say that if you like Will Wright's games truth is that you'd probably like a 3d modeller better. Let's you have complete freedom

[QUOTE="Kez1984"]The pc had games like Bioshock when you were in diapers.Kez1984

So in 1982? I distinctly remember games were in 2d back then. I hope you're talking about System Shock and Dues Ex. While I know what you're saying, they really didn't create a world like bioshock did.

they created a world much better than the one in Bioshock, especially STALKER....

as for your original post, if generic FPS's like Halo 3 can be put into the "big inovation" catogory, than Spore would just be off the chart.

how in any world is Halo generic? It lets you approach things in so many ways and is the most unique feeling FPS thatI have ever played (yes, some will argue that HL2 is better or whatever, but it feels like many other shooters). Besides that you can't argue that Grifball or the fact that a FPS allows for actually fun racing makes it generic.

ANd the main part I was talking about was forge. Have you actually ever played a game with it? So many things. You can do. Besides pingpong (lulz) its so fun to squish people with walls and... arh! You have no clue what you're talking about

you do realize that game editors and video recording tools are included with the majoirty of PC games?

Forge is not inovative at all....and its a terribly weak editor compared to what PC games get.

see, exactly my point. forge is not just a game editor. It's realtime. Just use it. It's not an editor. There is NOTHING that lets you do what forge does. It's more comparable to something like garry's mod than a map editor, although MUCH different.

But...Garry's Mod existed first, there-for, it's not really anything innovative

But.... I said it's not the same. It can be an assortment of things, but my favorite is really a mp what-the-blam! experience.

You really shouldn't try to convince somebody something when you don't know what it is, even more so when you haven't played with it.

Next up: The auctionhouse in Forza is like something, not really close, on the pc, right? Perhaps downloadble cars? lol
