[QUOTE="hjpro153"]

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] its called an analogy and they are really limited to that specific situation, its the principle. it means just because someone (or a lot of people) say something is true, doesnt meant it is...its up to the individual to actually cognitively and logically decide for themselves PS dousnt? really? again?chaoscougar1

then I've faulted where so many other do on a daily basis, I folow the crowd because I do, and often anyone who I don't know normaly starts taking the mick if you try correcting them anyway, so why bother with the hastle of doing the investigating and realy finding out? I decided it was right because so many others were saying it was and my thought on it was "if somany people are saying the same thing then why not?" obviously if I knew something about the subject first then I would of rebeled againts the idea, as I would of if all my freinds started offering drugs to me.

ahahahahaha so you pretty much follow people blindly on a daily basis? even if u dont know the person you just immediately agree because you are too lazy to find out the truth for yourself? thus it gives you the right to make wild accusations, because well the 'crowd' said it, therefore it must have some truth. PLEASE EXCERSISE SOME INDIVIDUAL THOUGHT AND REASONING!

1 person isn't a crowd, and didn't I say above it was only a small thing that makes no effect on anything if I got it wrong or right? if it was a serious thing like drugs I would take it seriously, oh, and I did know the people who were telling me this, therefore the above statement is wrong, and I suggest you drop the ahahaha thing because its annoying...

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] ok, so your sacrificing individual thought and resoning just because the crowd says so? i know its an old saying, but if the crowd all started to jump off cliffs would u follow?chaoscougar1

that saying is poorly thought and rather overused, why? because this is only a petit thing, it dousn't affect anything, as opposed to jumping of cliffs.

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] lol and i quote from you in an earlier post 'i like to write formaly' (yes, you did misspell formally) there is a difference between colloquial language and just not knowing how to spell basic words. i dont mind if u dont use capital i, or u for 'you' or even apostrophes for don't and such; but when you spell douse with a U for 10 or so pages, i start to wonder. and sometimes what you had written was incoherent, i could not for the life of me understand what you had written, im not asking you to spell difficult words and to have perfect spelling all the time, but when you misspell words page after page i begin to wonder

also if you are british like you said you were, you really dont have an excuse

chaoscougar1

if I write formally it doesn't mean I have to use perfect spelling and grammar, or I'm trying to keep up my own apearance. I write formally because thats how I was brought up and I'm used to it, If I was born (just to as an example) southern England, I'm not going to gain an accent from Birmingham am I? same goes with writing, I'm not going to change my style.

And what was that last bit? because I'm British I have no excuses? I may well be British, but that doesn't mean how superior I should be at speaking English to other English speaking countries, Because although I may well be (with a very fat chance) the descendant of who ever invented the English language (I never learnt about it in history before you start, I dropped it) I still wouldn't be expected to be as good at spelling words than the common person, even if they could spell better than me, because I never have and never will spell perfectly, and not many people do.

i would settle for half decent spelling and grammar, dont need perfect. WHAT DOES WRITING FORMALLY EVEN MEAN?!?!?!?!

the opposite of writing "im cuming on gears l8er r u gonna join me m8?"

well when rumours like that are spread around like a virus and everyones saying that, its hard NOT to beleive it, unless I asked a profesional about it I would go with the crowd. Its only natural.

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] but the thing is some of the time i really couldnt understand what you were saying and for god sake if your going to say i dont use proper GRAMMAR at least spell the word correctly, there is a lot of irony when you say i cant spell/use proper grammar and for about 12 pages you spelt the word does with a u. this isnt a difficult word by any means, dont act like im being a grammar cop. but when you spell basic words wrong NUMEROUS times, it makes me wonder why you would continue to argue when your argument is incoherent. also i did make valid points in between the spelling corrections, but you seemed to only focus on those corrections. so there was not much i could have said that would have affected what you wrote.chaoscougar1

Thats because spelling and grammar are not as important to some people, like me, as it is to others. maybe in writting a letter to the prime minister/President/king/queen/significant person someoneLike mewould want to use good spelling and grammar, but this is a forum, its not a place where you would need to keep up apearances, its a place to chill, talk about stuff, have petit debates, andso on.

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] hahaha have u even played the game? your level has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with being host

chaoscougar1

oh for...

I said if thats true, did I not? most people I know say that and I don't work for Epic games, so I shouldn't know either, and how are you so sure yourself?

[QUOTE="hjpro153"]

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] so 75 points out of 80,000 which represents .09% of my friends gamerscore is enough to get rid of it all? huh, interesting logicchaoscougar1

I think your missing the point...

Midrosoft *probably* programmed gamerscore in so it was a way to earn respect, people with high gamerscore were supposed to be respected people, people who were good at computer games, but it sorta backfires, everyone with high gamerscore is considered a nerd. anyway, Microsoft *probably* dousen't want cheaters to have any respect, and still believing gamerscore = respect they take all the gamerscore away, and brand them a cheater.

isn't that a morale? you have to earn respect?

do u mean moral? or morale? cause they are 2 totally different things...and that whole thing about MS meant it as a way to earn respect, where on earth did u pick that up from? did u just invent that then? last i heard it was a way to show what you have achieved in a certain game (once again yes i know the people who glitched didnt deserve that achievement, but thats not what im arguing, im arguing the severity

yes, when you acheive something you usualy gain respect from people who care, also note the *probably* parts. and yes, I put morale as in motivation, put I meant moral as in the moral of a story, and you should know what I meant.

[QUOTE="clembo1990"][QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] punishment doesnt really fit the crime, one of my friends had 80,000 GS with some pretty time consuming and hard achievements which he did legit and its all gone, wouldnt kill people for a little bit of empathy. its not like these people murdered someone, just glitched on ONE game

chaoscougar1

A cheat is a cheat. Their GS means nothing then.

so 75 points out of 80,000 which represents .09% of my friends gamerscore is enough to get rid of it all? huh, interesting logic

[QUOTE="richboy101"]

i dont understand the guy that started this post. why does he care about the other guy's spelling? he is missing the real point in the post. Its not even that hard to read. just because you care about your friend's GS doesnt mean we do. I 100% agree with MS doing this. We (gears 2 gamers) try and work real hard to get the rank, why should the glitchers have the right to cheat and when we have to work our butts off to get to lvl 100?

chaoscougar1

I think he (or mabey a she) uses it as a way to try and back his/her argument up some how. everyone "does" (HAPPY NOW?) it, and some people actualy care, when its nothing. I could say the same person never uses proper grammer either, and can't read half the time, but I don't, because aslong as the message gets over in english, then they can read it, my point is below:

ven hough 'm issing ut he irst etters f hese ords, hance s ou an till ead t. ts ncreadible ealy. he rain orks ut he irst etter ut or ou.

but the thing is some of the time i really couldnt understand what you were saying and for god sake if your going to say i dont use proper GRAMMAR at least spell the word correctly, there is a lot of irony when you say i cant spell/use proper grammar and for about 12 pages you spelt the word does with a u. this isnt a difficult word by any means, dont act like im being a grammar cop. but when you spell basic words wrong NUMEROUS times, it makes me wonder why you would continue to argue when your argument is incoherent. also i did make valid points in between the spelling corrections, but you seemed to only focus on those corrections. so there was not much i could have said that would have affected what you wrote.

[QUOTE="hjpro153"][QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] how does possessing a rank of 100 make the playing field unfair?chaoscougar1

This also effects people because they have a very high chance of being host, if its true that a higher level = more chance of being the host, that most people say it douse.

hahaha have u even played the game? your level has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with being host
