@G2Megatron: Um, what? It started before you were born. They thought John Madden Football II was a silly name, so they changed it to John Madden Football ‘92 when it released on the Genesis in 1991. Every sports franchise has followed suit.

@gaeandilth: Good news, the producers didn't make 200 million. They also did far more work on the movie than Johansson. Movie stars don't come anywhere close to putting in the most work on a movie, yet they're usually the biggest expense.

There is a multitude of reasons why the movie didn't have a box office of a billion, and Johansson was still getting a cut of the Disney+ sales. The movie also did just as well as Fast 9 domestically, and Disney+ isn't available in Asia. She's just a scumbag.

@hardwenzen: Um, what? Destiny isn't Fortnite, but it's a very healthy game with a ton of players. The content support has also been excellent.

@RogerioFM: What does that even mean? It has nothing to do with being a fan. I know it's a game I'm going to want to play and be a part of the conversation. If you've enjoyed the games a studio has put out for the last 25 years, it's not crazy to want to play their new game.

I prefer to make my own opinions about things. I'm the one out there giving my opinion and informing people who want to wait. If you prefer to wait and want to see what other people think, that's perfectly fine, but there literally isn't a single reason not a preorder something if you want a physical copy of a game you're going to play. Cyberpunk even reinforced this idea. If a game is actually broken, the precedent has been set for mass refunds.

@mogan: I learned from Cyberpunk to always preorder as soon as possible. I preordered it when they still gave deals and was locked in for $40 CDN. If I had waited until launch, it would've been $80. Still had lots of time to cancel if I wanted to after the reviews came out.

@RogerioFM: There are zero reasons not to preorder. You're not charged until it's shipped and the price is locked in in case they raise it.

If you're a From fan, you're going to play the game even if the reviews say it's awful.

@kutraz: That's kind of a weird takeaway. Obviously, they were never going to be major events like fighting Thanos, but they are important to the movies that are coming and are directly tied in.

Wanda is a major part of the next Dr. Strange movie and knowing what her motivations are will make it a better movie. The next Captain America movie is a Sam Wilson movie so it's a direct tie-in. Sam was barely more than a joke character before his show. He needed the show to make him a believable Captain America.

There's also 100% chance that Sharon Carter is going to be in more movies. There also would've been more obvious tie-ins without the whole COVID thing since Madame Hydra was supposed to be introduced in Black Widow.

It's like saying you don't need to watch the 20 movies before Infinity War/End Game to understand what's going on. You technically don't, but you're going to get a whole lot more out of them if you've seen everything.

@dragonsama: Raw is usually garbage, but NXT, Smack Down, and Dynamite have generally been at the same level over the past year. All three can put on amazing shows and all three put on stinkers.

The main thing AEW has going for it is the stigma people have for WWE. There's also a huge misconception, that WWE feeds, about how much of the show is coming directly from Vince. He's barely involved in the writing or the characters anymore. Sure, everything does have to go through him, but if a writer or a wrestler fights for something that they think will work, they'll almost always at least get a chance to try something. What has AEW done that wouldn't fit right in in WWE besides letting them say shit and bleeding?

The idea that wrestlers are constantly misused and then blossom when they leave is also a fallacy. Over and over again we see people complaining about wrestlers that the WWE is misusing, then they get somewhere else and it becomes clear that they were a big part of the problem.

The examples you bring up don't really prove anything. Luke Harper was fine in WWE, but you can only go so far if you're not 100% into wrestling. It's not a knock against him at all, but he was more interested in being with his family than being at the top of the card and everything that came with it. He joined AEW because they were offering an extremely reduced schedule. Matt Hardy has been garbage since he arced out the Broken Hardy stuff with TNA. It's fun to see him every now and then, but why is he still getting TV time every week? Same with Jericho. WWE used old man Jericho properly. He got an idea, came into town for a few months, then left again. He was perfect to help establish AEW, but why is he still cutting promos every week when there are so many more interesting people on the roster? Why does Darby Allin need Sting being a weirdo in every one of his segments? Who's asking to see Christian every week in 2021?

Cody is insufferable; The Good Brothers are the worst part of anything they're involved with; FTR are more or less in the same spot as they were in WWE; Shawn Spears wasn't being misused, he's just Shawn Spears; Miro could go either way, but he hasn't been anything special so far; I've never been much of a fan of any incarnation of Jon Moxley, but I understand why people like him, even then, he's being used in more or less the same way he was in WWE; Pac is pretty much the only guy who is unequivocally in a better spot than he was.
