@Ultima_Dragoon: I haven't gotten deep into it this year, but Diamond Dynasty is by far the least scummy version of the collect-your-team mode and is the best part of the game. There are a ton of ways to get diamond cards and they're mostly all fun. Moments are great, showdown is great, the checklists give you a reason to mix things up. They also throw stubs at you at a fantastic rate. You never feel the need to pay anything unless you're paying a lot and want to collect everything.
The RTTS grind is only a problem when you're playing the game 8 hours a day to review it. It's supposed to be a grind and that's what people want. They play the mode for months and aren't looking to max out their player in a week. The grind will also get much easier when they patch the bug that's not giving you credit for easy tasks and easy points.
@philip6k: Look at the Series S. It's a beefy little 1080p box. Now go buy a computer with a decent, not great video card. See how much performance changes when you switch from 4K to 1080p? It's that easy.
The S can run things at 1080 often better than the X can at 4K. If anything is holding the game back bells and whistles-wise, the PS5 and Series X are barely powerful enough to run things at 4K60.
Kinda of disappointing that the humans in the game look like garbage now. This used to be one of the graphical showcases, now it's pretty ugly. When the models are that bad, maybe don't highlight them by having pre-game stuff showing the people talking.
Definitely can't see much of an upgrade from the PS4 version last year to the Series X this year.
@Blk_Mage_Ctype: AEW's roster is already bloated since they dedicate TV time to so many WWE retirees. Does anyone still want to see Sting every week? Why is Christian taking TV time from the relevant stars. Is it really edgy that Taz says shit every week? Jericho is great in month long segments, but it's been like two years now of his shtick.
All AEW has taught us is that all the WWE bullshit is impossible to avoid.
It's always weird when people try and make WWE the bad guy in these situations. In 99% of the situations, it's a mutual decision and the wrestlers immediately get hired somewhere else.
WWE hadn't had competition in like 25 years, so there's really no reason not to release midcarders who want out.
@Carpetfluff: It's definitely a system seller. It's no Uncharted, but a substantial number of people buy Playstations just to play The Show every year.
Wow, notice how lame these "free" games are getting? They introduce you to some solid lineups, now it's "Beggars can't be choosers" lineups. Yes, you are the beggar.
You might want to look up the word beggar in a dictionary before you try to be clever. Who's begging? The games aren't free. People are paying for the service.
I'm a little confused by the comment about Marvel training their fans to think there's a third act swerve coming. Isn't it the opposite. Do any of their movies have third-act swerves? They're pretty light on the big swerves, but if they have them, they're early, Captain Marvel and Guardians 2, or in the after-credit scenes, Far From Home.
