@fedor: Um, reread your comment. You seem pretty upset for something that doesn't matter at all. It's only a story because of angry little people like you. It's just "angry twitter no lifers" on both sides yelling at each other to make themselves feel special. People with real-life interactions couldn't care less about it one way or the other. Grow up.

A bad review would be if she wrote 7/10 : not enough swords or griffons.

The only heel who comes close to your description is The Miz and he's barely a heel.
AEW has the market cornered on the type of heel you seem to hate.
AEW fanboys sure are weird. You don't need to denigrate the WWE to legitimize AEW. They're both pretty similar in quality and run by awful people.
@thochaos: Do you even actually watch AEW? Name some of their other talent aside from obvious comic relief characters who clearly aren't even intended to be taken seriously like Sonny Kiss who actually fit those labels. AEW has plenty of other wrestlers who aren't from WWE, nor are they heels, jobbers, or comic relief like Orange Cassidy, Darby Allen, The Young Bucks, Jurassic Express, the list goes on and on.
One of the things that's so great about AEW compared to WWE is that you can tune into practically any match and still be able to wonder who's going to win, and matches are seldom completely one-sided, matches go back and forth until the very end. Also, the referees aren't portrayed as completely inept, so they aren't constantly getting distracted, looking the other way as underhanded moves are pulled off behind their backs, nor is the company portrayed as being completely okay with heels constantly breaking the rules and wailing on other wrestlers backstage or after the match is over.
Furthermore, heels aren't all portrayed exactly the same way, as losers who cannot win a legitimate match who are practically reliant upon the ineptitude of the referees to succeed, nor as petulant, narcissistic crybabies who beg for opportunities, blame others for their failures, and throw violent temper tantrums when they don't get their way. So there isn't a need for the viewer to constantly suspend their disbelief over the fact that the company apparently doesn't mind their wrestlers assaulting each other, hospitalizing each other in the process, and subsequently being taken off the card.
Um, what? I think AEW is fine, but you're wrong with just about everything you wrote. To say they're not full of comic relief, you bring up Orange Cassidy, whose gimmick is 95% comic relief, Jurassic Express, who are made up of a dinosaur, a Tarzan cosplayer, and a guy the size of a child. Darby Allin may not be comic relief, but he's just there to do Jackass nonsense every week. They even brought Steve-O in to join him last time.
AEW is exactly the same as WWE in your second paragraph. It's wrestling and anyone paying attention could guess correctly the winner of each match 80% of the time. And you've got to be joking with your last point. The Inner Circle exists entirely so they will always have the advantage and be able to overcome any deficit by breaking the rules. Both the Inner Circle and the Dark Order are constantly beating people up backstage and after the match. Every match Darby Allin has been in has had his opponent trying to send him to the hospital.
