So after playing AC and looking at the new splinter cell, is it me, or does the two games look sort of similar cept of the surroundings.

Sam is now walking in broad daylight "blending" in with the crowds around him. Seems like some of the combat maybe mostly hand to hand

but the one time i did stray from reviews i got burned.

I was so hyped for Spiderman 3 cuz i like 2 so much, but when it came out and got poor reviews, i was like w/e im sure ill like it anyway. It wasnt that great and i really wished i hadnt spent $60 on it.

Personal opinion definitely should be valued over reviews, but i think reviews make a good measuring stick

Well AC got a mixed score of high and decent. So i guess its one of those games that you either love or sort of like. I wouldnt really consider Kane & Lynch a high profile game, and Smackdown is only high profile for big fans of the "sport".

I would mention the others but i already 4got them as i am posting this, so i guess they cant be high profile :D. haha

why focus on the games of 08?

since you just got your 360, try catching up with all the great games that came out this year. You can probably get a bargain for them now.

oh man, i had the same exact experience

i had already actually reserved halo 3 and i was randomly at the mall where the gamestop was, then it hit me, wont the mall be close at midnight?

so anyway, i go ask to make sure, and i get almost the same feedback

its soo annoying, i feel like no matter how friendly and polite you are to them they always give off this annoying vibe, and im not talkin about a particular Gamestop, but at least 3 or 4 of them. Now im not gonna overgeneralize and say all gamestop employees are like that, but from what ive seen it seems to be true.

i hate how just because 08 improved soooo much from 07 that it automatically is better than 2k8

i agree 08 is gonna be a fun game, but they could get a piece of dog crap, mold it as a DVD, put it in a case, and it still would have been better than live07

Live 08 seems like a fun arcadey game of basketball, so if your into that, then by all means get it. From the past few years 2k seems like its gonna be a game of sim-realistic basketball, and 2k8 doesnt seem to be any different.

But in in my opinion of differences of quality i think 2k8 will take the cake

you know, i had really low expectations. But i was actually pretty surprised, its a fun little beat em up that would be fun with a few friends or online. It was fun pulling off combos with spiderman, theirs a little bit openendedness to the combat system. Instead of press this twice then hit B kinda thing.

Definitely a rental and not a buy.

my friends getting a core pretty soon as well, but the thing is, i got a spare harddrive that i got for free to give to him.

my question is, since the core comes with a wired controller can it still use the wireless ones?

oh and im not trying to be mean at all about ur 360 burning out, just commenting on how bad the game is lol
