its not that its very quiet, its just that my old 360 was soooo LOUD, it would make all these scratchy, struggling sounds like it was playing an old record and my games were made on sandpaper

so after a year of jet engine sounds, scratched games, dirty disk errors, and a moody disk tray that opens when it wants, i finnally went to gamestop and used my warranty.

i got the new premium with the hdmi, and i gotta say, its soo nice to put a game in and not worry about the noise or a dirty disk error. I dindnt think the hdmi would make much of a difference, but i swear it looks much better, (probably just me). Probably the only let down was that the new premium did not come with the hdmi cable so i had to buy one separately.

I kept my hard drive, to keep my saves, but when i opened the new box i found that they forgot to keep the new harddrive.

my friends been here about 2 hours playin the demo

so my 360 is about as loud as a 747 and it sratches my games like a stray cat on speed. It chugs along while i play my games, the game will often pause for a second just so my 360 can catch up. I havent gotten the 3 red lights yet, but it seems like its goin in that direction. I actually stupidly left it on yesterday morning, and i got back the same night, and it was running fine.

Anyway heres my question, i havent visited my local gamestop in awhile and i figure since the new premiums came out, i should use my warranty with said store. So are the new premiums pretty available, meanin, are they already in most stores?

i was planning on trying it. i was planning to use my warranty, then return the brand new unopened 360 the next day saying i didnt want it anymore, and with the refund just go to another retailer and pick up the elite

alas we'll never know, unless i go through with it haha
