What is this mystery PC FPS that somehow trumps Halo in terms of gameplay and funfactor? The only game I can think of is Farcry for PC but it wasn't as fun or epic an experience as any Halo game barring the second. Halo is the epitome of polished game design for an FPS. They streamlined it to the point of near perfection. The fact it can seamlessly integrate vehicles puts it on its own level.JiveT

Half Life, System Shock, SS2, NOLF, Theif, Tribes, DUes Ex.

It's that feeling of severe colon hemorrhaging that just warms me up inside.

This Hardcore/Casual thing is way overratted IMO. People play the games they want. If I had to define a hardcore gamer, I'd say they are the ones that play MUDs or tabletop.

I play games with a lot of my spare time and I have a HUGE library for the PC, GC, N64, PS2, Wii, DS, and PSP. I've insured it for over $20000 nz, which is a lot of cash (Though I have dublicates of some games, I have 4 copies of Baludrs gate, from the original 6cd sleeve to the package with IWD, IWD2, NVN, BG, BG2 and all expansions) I still don't consider myself a HARDCORE gamer because I mostly play mainstream games.

Wii - Good = I don't have one. :)

PS3 - Good = I want one. :)

360 = Bad = It offers few games that I am interested in that are exclusive leaving me wanting to get a PS3 more and more due to multiplats (Which is good and bad).

We have our first fanboy. I hope you're proud.

Way to ruin a good thing

Don't Own

Wii: All of the good games are a **** to find in NZ

[QUOTE="Oroin"]You do know this is gonna turn out ugly don't ya TC?? Anyway I have nothing to say.. yay for being manticore. :DOroin

how do you do it? do you have a large income? i used to be "manticore" but prefernces of games on one system over another ends it. and lack of money. how how how do you do it :P

large income? no, I'm broke. I just say it as - I don't have a system preference yet. I only own a 360 so I'm technacly a lemming. but I have yet to try a ps3 or have a wii to pass a fair judgment..

Thats the kind of open minded thinking that SW needs.

Na all my mates love the Wii. They aren't big gamers though so theres that blue ocean strategy or whatever in full force. It's not really fair playing anything serious with them anyway, I would crush them, that's why I stick to RRR and Super Monkey Ball.

We jammed Ren a couple of times on PC but I destoryed them. Though I know this one guy who almost never touchs a video game. But my god he is the god of Super Smash. SO fast.

Personally I think this game looks bad ass. I wouldn't be suprised if it scored 8.5/9. It won't compate with Mass Effect by a long shot but it still looks primo as.

[QUOTE="zero9167"]Yep consoles are already becoming dated...mattyomo99

people dont buy consoles for the best graphics, people buy consoles for the how simple and cheaper they are then gaming PCs. And also consoles are good for mulitplayer(not online), and sports games and those 3 are the reasons i like consoles

People don't buy consoles for gfx? Then why the hell are there 100000000000000000 threads about which console has the best gfx power???
Plus in terms of physical multiplayer, the Wii trumphs all IMO, last weekend I was playing RRR with a whole bunch of drunk mates, it was awesome.

  1. Gulty Gear Accent Core
  2. Fatal Fury Battle Archieves 1 & 2
  3. KOF XI (ENJOY IT!)
  4. Street Fighter IV
  5. Capcoms Samurai Fighter
  6. Soul Calibur IV
  7. Tekken 6
  8. Virtua Fighter 5

Nintendo isn't doing **** to save the fighting genre and anyone who thinks so should be kicked below the waist.

  1. Pretty much all people who play SSB don't play other fighting games and regard SSB as the best fighter out there.
  2. SSB will have no impact in the arcade scene what so ever.

This post fails big time.

ChrisMun

All of those games will flop (not only at retail but with review) Smash is probably the most complete series in terms of of fighting games. Smash, unlike Tekken or VF don't relay on super-normal-bumped mapping and 40 times the poligons for it to be something worth buying.

es the eff up the next time you say something negative about brawl!

Go do some research and tell me what frachise is the top attendee of EVO 2007. The only hype behind SSB is Sonic being a playable character. As a fighting game vet, SSB is merely a childs game. An no, I'm not talking about graphics or who's in the game. I'm talking game mechanics and level of thinking of what to do ina fighting game.

You've obviously never played the SSB series properly before. It requires lightning reflexes and impeccable timing. Not to mention strategic use of items and such.
