There's a bunch of demos you can pull down. Give that a try.

Just purchased my new PS3.

The guys at FRY's urged me to get the 60 gig because the 60 gig has an actual PS2 chip in it. The 80 gig doesn't and relies on software emulation for PS2 & PS1. They said Sony pulled the chip to cut back on costs. So I got the 60 gig.

Tried a PS2 and PS1 game and works great.

As a software developer myself...

The more elaborate the graphics and activaty, the longer it takes to render the screen. Also, games like this requires a good amount of AI per player. That could be why it's running at 30 fps.

I'm going to purchase a PS3 today. Weeeeee!! Woot!!

The 80 gig is 100 dollars more then the 60 gig. Why would I want the 80 gig package vs the 60 gig package? Is the 20 extra gigs worth the 100 dollars? Does anything else come with the 80 gig package? Can you purchase and download PS3 games onto the PS3? Don't care that much about movies.

Don't tell me to go buy an xbox 360, already have one.

Your thoughts?

I find the pc version easier to play with the mouse and keyboard.

Yeah, I know it's not the big game everyone is playing. I just happen to be going through a wild west phaze. The game is a lot of fun and the story is interesting. This lag glitch is just annoying.

As you ride from one town to the next, there's lag spikes because it's loading that area. As annoying as that is, do that a few times and the game completely lags out and is unplayable. A simple way to fix this is to completely quit out of the game and go back in. I seem to be having to do this every 10 to 20 minutes because depending on what your doing at the time, you have to go from one end of the map to the other, causing the game to load and unload as you go. Before you know it, the game is hosed in a permenant lag and you have to save and quit out. Even the menu screen is totally lagged out.

This is such a pain. Is there a solution?

I would just wait until the game comes out and see what people are posting about their rigs and the fps they are getting. Now you can make an informed decision about what hardware to choose.

It's totaly fun on the Wii. Pointing and firing makes it a little bit easier.
