@wolfblademusic: Running on modern architecture, capable of playing full AAA experiences anywhere anytime. What other standard console boasts that? The ability to play with multiple different control setups, multiplayer with only one controller? And you think that if they price it $50 above your beloved $250, it won't sell? I laugh at the absurdity! This console has already sold SO many people who were rooting against Nintendo - but it's bought into the hands of adults, children, both casual and hardcore, and you really have the audacity to assume this only appeals to "the 20 million Nintendo faulthful"... What a mess. This is just as much a legitimate console as the rest, with full 3rd party support, innovative features not offered on any other consoleand 1st party exclusives right out the gate. $300 is asking too little honestly, but knowing Nintendo, they tend to price low, and since $250 makes it look like a toy or something old and useless (and considering the Wii U is $300 new), $300 for this with a mark down to $200 for the Wii U seems perfect.

In the trailer, they constantly show off Amiibo statues. There is NO WAY they would include Amiibo multiple times throughout the video and not have support for it on the console. Considering the 3DS has a sensor in the screen, I'm guessing the Switch tablet will feature something similar, or if you're using that module controller, the middle piece looks like it would fit a sensor in there. There's no question there will be Amiibo support, especially with all the money they're raking in with it.

What idiot would think this is going to launch at $250?? This is an entirely new console! Modern performance at home AND on the go, unlike any other console before, and you seriously think this will cost any less than $300 on launch? Please don't breed.

@Gelugon_baat: Not really bud. I read the review, it's a ridiculous reason. Get over it.

@sladakrobot: That's not what he was talking about. They don't actually mention new games in this article like he was asking, so please try again.

@braheemiii: It's not a new generation and if you can't understand that I feel bad for you when you're surely disappointed next fall. It's the exact same console, running within the exact same Win 10 gaming ecosystem (Xbox One, PC), same operating system (optimized for new features) it is indeed - and like the PS4 Pro - the first actual mid cycle hardware update for a home console generation (at least for these 2 brands). Just because it "boasts 4K" doesn't mean jack shit when anyone with a half a brain cell knows developers are not going to make entirely new versions of a game to run separately (and be sold separately) from the Xbox One version. Especially since Microsoft would not be stupid enough to dig themselves an even further grave from comparably poor sales relative to PS4 by releasing an entirely new generation and completely alienating their still rising/new Xbox One adopters. This console, even with "6 TERAFLOPS!!!!!!!" of "power" still wouldn't even hold a candle to an actual 4K capable PC (shoot, even the $600 GTX 1080 is 9Tflops) so if you think for a second this thing is going to run games at anything above medium settings at "native" 4K, you're gonna have a bad time... This is NOT a next generation console, don't get your hopes up.

Next generation would imply it's on an entirely separate/heavily modified OS, has different controller scheme, would typically have separate online features, would release games in literally different boxes, etc. They have clearly stated that the Scorpio will be playing everything that releases on the Xbox One AND VICE VERSA, all online components will be the same, the controller is the same, it's all THE SAME. This is simply a Pro version of the Xbox One, as the PS4 Pro is to the standard model. Really not hard to grasp.
