I recommend Avast free, it's a very good software, is not hevy on your system and the protection is very good, you just register the software after installation and it gives you a year protection, after that you just reregister the software again and again, and if you like it you can buy it or keep the free version
try it http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download
as for norton AV if you can't install it the traditional way, there are some good software uninstallers on the net just google it
In Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance in an online match I was playing a 2v2 and me and my ally we're dominating. Our opponents were complete noobs and I was just finishing up a few experimentals to finish the battle when I hear "strategic launch detected" and see that my ally has fired a nuke. I think nothing of it, and zoom out to watch the destruction. After a few seconds I notice that the nuke has a very strange trajectory, and that it is heading right for my base. I frantically moved my commander and units out of the way but it was too late, the nuke landed right next to my commander and I lost. This got me so upset to the point where I never wanted to play any video game ever again.
TLDR: Ally in SUPCOM nuked me causing me to quit all video games for a period of time.

hahahahahahahahaha, ahhhhh man That made me laugh pretty hard i almost cried, Yes I understand you my friend because that happened to me quite a few times, +1 for making me remember the agony you feel when you see the missile coming at your base and the commander just walks sloooooowly, when he should be running with his metal ass away from the base.
My sister recently got a virus that prevented any program from running. I installed a Norton 360 antivirus demo and it did remove the virus but the problem still happens. So, I still need to format the hard drive and install the operating system again. Other than removing tracking cookies, I see most anti-virus software programs a joke.

Pretty much. Remember though, an AV program is a preventative measure, not a guarantee against infection. An AV program is like an umbrella. It can help keep you dry when it rains, but it can't help much if you go jumping into puddles.
With that, free programs like Avast! and Microsoft Security Essentials get the job done and do more than remove tracking cookies. I would never pay for an AV program.
This is a thread for posting specs and asking what game could max them.
What I mean is what games can I run that will run the hardware to maximum power. I never actually played Crysis, btw. I will soon. I am kinda new to PC gaming.
You could post your specs too.
My Specs:
Intel Core i3-330m 2.13 ghz (2 Cores/4 Threads)
NVidia Geforce 260m GTX 1GB
4 GB Ram
Windows 7 64-bit Home Premuim
320 GB HDD

This is better suited for the PC hardware discussion board, but to better answer your question what kind of moniter do you have? What's the resolution that it dispays natively. More than likey you can max pretty much every game on the market though, by that I mean put the settings to high. As far as AA and AF go, that will depend on what res you game at.
