its not the fan guys i checked it my jamming a piece of card board in it for a few seconds its still there any idea what it could be ? i hear the sounds just for a few seconds when running no demanding apps on it when i run a game on it its there all the way ? WHAT IS IT !!? PLEASE HELP !!?????!! :?:?:?

not that loud , and to me it seems to be the fan to cause as soon as i start a game it there !! and about the recemondation i got about putting a zip tie in the fan to check should i do it before i start the computer or after the PSU is running ? yeah and it wouldn't mess anything up permanently ? i willl be running the PSU without the fan for like for 5 mins or so ? catch fire or anything or produce some power surges and mess up my other components !!!?

na it isn't under warrenty and what if its the fan ? could i run it like that for a month ? im planing to get a new PSU by the end of april ??

and what if its not the PSU ? what else could be wrong ?

so i noticed that my rig makes a slight scraping sound , i invstigated and found out its coming from the PSU . the sound is really noticable when im playing games on it .

any idea what it is guys ??!!! im really worried !!!! my first build so ....................:?

case is ANTEC 200 and has 2 case fans one 120 at the back and anothe 140 at the top

1st is a sata connector

2nd 6 pin pcie connector

3rd again a sata connector now

4th now this one has 3 4pin molex connectors im using two of these to run my case fan ( case is ANTEC 200 ) now this is the thing is the last connector on this cable the small one is it for a flopy or is a motherboard connector for the case fans ??? my thought is its not as my motherboard has one 3 pin case fan connector and this one HAS 4 pins ???

if its not a mobo conector for the case fans than how am i supposed to control the speed of the case fans !!??? oh yeah and the on off switch for the case fans is on the case just two buttons to slide back and forth .

yeah your stuff is fine it will run it but there will be lags because of your CPU . (try overclocking it ?)

hey guys what do you recomend ? and could you tell me the normal temps at idel and full capacity and also the save range of these temps of SAPPHIRE RADEON HD 6850 and AMD PHENOM IIX4 960 ????(both the CPU and GPU are at stock settings didn't overclock )

playing games skyrim , assasins creed , battkefield 2 , metro 2033 and mass effect (and yeah im a bit behind on gaming but trasitioned frm my ancient PS2 )

so i don't have a dvd drive been trying to use a usb , made a usb bootable have SUCCESSFULLY installed windows on a netbook twice before .

thing is for i havent used an AMD based system before and 1st time using an ASUS motherboard , i go in the boot menu change the boot priority to usb and disable the rest of the drives that could be in 2nd or 3rd as priortized to booting dosent work . disconected the hard drive . the thing loads , then i connect it and refresh it the hrad drive shows when i select a partition and hit next says something like enable boot drive function from bios somthing like that
