I've read that the newer 60GB models run cooler and quieter then the 20GB older versions. Can anyone confirm this? IS this true?ScottEFreshYes, the new 60gb models use the falcon chip which has a 23% less chance of rroding.
just goes too show how the ps3 was a crap,360 will end up the winner in the end.nutz2thegraveI agree with this.
[QUOTE="SmartGuy2211"][QUOTE="TAKE_IT_BACK"]Why is it that when a wii supporter brings up sales, he gets flamed, but when its about PS3/360... everyone argues:| please explain0rin
its because the 360 has the games to back it up.
No. It's because the 360 and PS3 actually have current gen technology, so $200 is impressive. As opposed to spending $250 for souped-up last gen tech, and a tacky (IMO) controller. I consider the wii "new gen". It's not direct competition for Sony and MS. at least, not as direct of competition as Sony is to MS, and vis versa.
At any rate, back to the topic at hand...
MS sucks (IMO.. sorry, i forget that unless you state this after every opinion, you get flamed).
But they will almost assuredly out-sell the PS3 this holiday, thanks entirely to that price drop. (Well, not entiresly.. The marketing blitz is going to help a lot too!) Very smart move on their part. Sony will have to have some AMAZING anouncements at TGS to even hope to keep up. And even then, without a price drop, it would be a miracle if they outsold the 360.And no backwards ps2 compatibility is going to put them back even further.
