Simple answer is Yes. It is worth it.

I used to play it on 29" SDTV and after I bought 19" LCD monitor with VGA cable, I never played it on SDTV since.

And one more news that might interest you guys.

In europe, HD-DVD is out selling Blue Ray drive because alot of european movie company's are supporting HD-DVD.

There was rumour but it was just a rumour. But there is good possibility because there are more xbox360 than ps3 in the USA.

And if ps3 doesn't sell out that good they might make MGS4 or another MGS game to xbox360 to make more money.

But didn't MGS 2 Substance and MGS 3 Substinense come to the Xbox they are same games but bigger riight?? So there might be a chance.

 

OOPS I WAS WRONG MGS 3 S never came to the xbox nevermind lol but MGS 2 did =)

Not MGS3. Only MGS2 substance made it to Xbox.

Yes, it is still worth it. I used play 360 on SDTV and they still looks great.

And you don't need HDTV to play it on HD. You can buy VGA cable and hook it up with your PC Monitor.

Max is 8.1mbps but avrg is around 1.5 - 2.5 mbps depends on the server.

Main reason will be black finish but I'm very interested in 120HDD as well.
