I consider this JRPG to be tri-Ace's opus. It's flashy, fun, and easy to get into.
I'm sortof a fan of tri-Ace, since the strong points of their Star Ocean games are what I look for in Japanese RPGs. None of those games are really perfect. Though they are quite lengthy and mechanically complex, they ... Read Full Review

Star Ocean: The Last Hope International
Series fans, RPG enthusiasts and anime fans will be right at home here.
Star Ocean is a series of meaty JRPGs, and this is the 3rd installment I've played (I consider myself a series fan, having played both SO2 on PS1 and SO3 on PS2). Star Ocean: The Last Hope (SO4) carries forward everythi... Read Full Review

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Skyrim is a great fantasy world to explore, but technical problems and questionable design shoulder it from perfection.
Skyrim is Bethesda's latest first-person singleplayer RPG, and their Elder Scrolls games (as well as the Fallout 3 offshoot) are their flagship series in my opinion. As a fantasy gamer, I can really get behind their exc... Read Full Review

Worms 2: Armageddon
Worms 2 is a big improvement over the other PSN/XBLA Worms game, and the best console version since World Party.
Worms has been around forever, it's something of a cult classic. It's definitely the most popular of the turn-based trajectory shooting games. W2:A is a valid entry in the series. It contains everything that other ent... Read Full Review

Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2007
Yu-Gi-Oh! WC2007 is probably the best card game software to date, at least for a portable system.
I've always been a fan of trading card games. I played a lot of Magic back in the day, and loved the old PC simulator that Microprose made... even if it is antiquated today. I just recently stumbled upon this anime-styl... Read Full Review

Final Fantasy
For some, this is the definitive version of a classic RPG. Veterans and purists might not need apply, however.
The original Final Fantasy is one of my all-time favorite video games. It's one of those classic games that you don't mind revisiting over and over again, even though you've already mastered it, simply because its just ... Read Full Review

Patapon
This game is probably the best $20 I've spent in a while.
Patapon is an exciting game, easily one of the best for PSP so far, and probably the best game of this early 2008 season. I really don't know how to describe it any other way... mostly because I'm hopelessly addicted to... Read Full Review

Age of Empires: The Age of Kings
Age of Empires is a solid turn-based strategy game, so much so that sometimes it's not entirely noteworthy.
Here's a quick review... I've been holding out buying this game, but I've been on a strategy kick lately, after just recently beating the latest Advance Wars and playing some medieval strategy boardgames with friends.... Read Full Review

Xenosaga Episode I Reloaded: Chikara e no Ishi
Xenosaga is a good RPG that stands apart from the crowd... a whorthwile pick for RPG fans.
Xenosaga takes some unique approaches to the gameplay and storytelling, and its these liberties that make it a truly unique experience. In my opinion, this is one of the better RPGs on the PS2, and it all works together... Read Full Review
