The PS3 and Xbox 360 both screwed themselves by focusing on what the next big media format would be. Sony including a Blu-ray player and announcing a HIGH pricetag caused their own demise, and for Microsoft we can see where supporting HD DVD got them. The Wii proved that the only thing that matters in the gaming industry is 1. The Price and 2. The games. Does anyone actually watch movies on their system? I know I don't. If I wan't a blu-ray player I'll buy a blu-ray player, when I buy a gaming syestem I wan't just that- A gaming system. I think for the nex gen of systems they should worry about gaming and not what the next big media format will be, after all they are GAMING systems. Do you think they will learn from their mistakes? I doubt it.
