I wasn't saying the Wii was a fad, I was just opening it up to discussion.I don't want to say you're wrong so I'll just say you're nowhere near correct.
Gaming isn't as popular in Japan as it once was and numbers for all consoles are very low compared to the US.
For the Wii to explode like it did was amazing and the platform of choice will always be the DS in Japan. Even with this going on Nintendo controls 75% of all gaming in Japan right now.
Add in the fact that less then 60% of all Japanese homes have internet and less then 40% of Wii owners have their Wii online.
Also remember that their holiday shopping season starts later then ours.

I live in the the UK and we don't pay $50 dollars for a game, at the current exchange rates we pay $82 (£39.99)fraz1776I live in the UK aswell and game prices are a rip off. I bought Skate for 360 in Gamestation the day it was released and it was £40 but then the next week it went up to £45.
