ok so i have a ps3 and a Samsung 1080p tv from last year

anyways i was thinking about getting high def surround system so i was looking into receivers i found

http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-SR605-Channel-Theater-Receiver/dp/B000OBLARC/ref=cm_lmf_tit_2_rsrsrs0

anyways the receiver supports Dolby TRUEHD and DTS-HD which i want to get so i can really take advantage of the audio features

found in bluray discs

thing is my samsung

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN-S4095D-1080p-LCD-HDTV/dp/B000GDEZLQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1198728229&sr=1-1

Im pretty sure it doesn't support HDMI 1.3 input so im wondering if i do get that receiver along with speakers will i be able to experience TRUEHD or DTS-HD?

so im pretty sure the tv doesnt support HDMI 1.3

i think the HD2900XT is faster cause it leaves alot more room for serious overclocking but i think that mite only be plausible in really high end overclocking rigs (elaborate watercooling for instance) thats why it holds the top places in the 3dmark 06 hall of fame.

but its also really big and requires a lot of juice to ru

if ur just thinking about running on a simple air cooled rig with maybe just an intake and an outtake fan u can probly just buy the 8800 GT

alrite so during black friday i brought a thermometer with me to check the temperature while i was camping outside frys.

so i just checked my backpack this morning and i noticed that the thermometer had cracked

i got really worried cause all those videos i saw in my Chemistry class said that mercury was used in thermometers and all the news i watch taught me that if u inhale mercury vapors then u can get cancer

so i freaked out and i asked my chem teacher if i was gonna get cancer but she told me that my thermometer liquid was red and that mercury is silver and that i shouldnt worry

anyways im still scared tho so do any of u guys know whether or not thermometers have stoped using mercury or not?

What time do u guys think personally was gamespot's golden age? (in terms of site funcionality and the personalities on the feature shows such as the hotspot on teh spot ttv button mashing etc...

i think for me since im sort of a newbie and have only been with the site for about 2 years i think it was about summer of 2006 for me basically up until greg kasavin left.
