alrite guys after hearing about the 5 free blu ray movies with the ps3 i decided it was high time that i picked one up (i know im pathetic - it was 5 free lousy movie titles that brought me over the fence)

however after hearing news that sony is getting sued over patent infringements (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6171498.html)

of the special coating on blu ray disc im sort of feeling that buying a playstation 3 mite put me on the thin ice.

wat im saying is should i buy a ps3 rite now in this time? (please put into consideration this suing business as main reason not to buy the ps3 and not the fact there mite not be a lot of games rite now)

i know people keep telling me that sony will just settle this in court thru a large payoff, but im not sure how LARGE that payoff mite be.

gamespot news says

"Target is seeking a permanent injunction preventing Sony from violating its patent rights in the future, as well as damages with interest, multiplied due to what it characterizes as deliberate and willful infringement."

i dunno about u but that sounds like a huge ass payoff they'll have to make

therefore PLEASE tell me ur opinion on whether or not this mite affect someones choice of getting a ps3

I was just wondering whether or not firmware updates or watever have allowed the PS3 to upscale DVD's to HD res' (720, 1080i, 1080p). I was just wondering cause it didnt come stock with the PS3 and i was wondering if it works now.

If not do u think it can be fixed with firmware or if its a hardware issue

alrite i borrowed a pre- release version of windows  vista from my uncle this week and installed it on my computer. However i downloaded a c**** so i could run vista on my comp without activating it. However after having to mess aroudn witht he date in my BIOS (turning 2007 to 2099 and hten switching back to 2007), my vista said my 30day trial was over and i needed to activate it. therefore i decided to remove vista from my computer (i also installed installed it again tos ee if it would still say my trial was over.. yes it was).

However now, whenever i boot up my computer it still says vista is installed on my computer (two versions of vista from the 2 times i installed it), but since i removed them both (deleted the partitions) it says i have to repair the vistas.

That doesnt really matter much tho, because now my windows XP professional is screwed up! I cant watch videos for crap on gamespot (pretty much i cant use WMP or quicktime) and my itunes keeps terminating. ive tried uninstallign and reisntalling these programs but still to no avail. What can i do to fix my XP?
