Everyone just wants a slice of the pie. No way msoft gonna agree to drop subscription fee if they are then charging $15 a month. The only way they would allow it is if they got some of the $15.
If it's free to play I don't see why they couldn'tthough.
It's always been a joke that msoft make you pay to have gold to watch stuff than you can watch through your pc for free. I'm glad iplayer managed to enforce not having to be gold to watch it and am gald sony is allowing it.
Make it a lot more tempting to get an old PS3 and use it mostly for a media machine, without having to have a subscription to anything.
I would be a lot less likely to throw away my old xbox 360 if it were able to do this.
