@Vodoo: I would of not guessed Killzone devs made Horizon. Loud applause for them.
When I say Xbox needs new IPs, more exclusives and first party games people become so salty. I have used xbox for 15 years and avoided PlayStation for all but 1 year. I liked Halo that much and loved my community of xbox friends. But yeah that community has long faded away and Halo is not the community game it used to be. I sure as hell hoped Destiny would be but the community is garbage and toxic compared to old Halo days. MS Bungie is at a different league from Activision Bungie.
I also question why MS hasn't wrapped tightly around Ninja Gaiden, Mechassault etc etc. They had Platinum Games under them just to cancel their game despite their incredible track record.
It doesn't matter anymore. I sold my Xbox, and now have a ps4 pro....
I probably won't get xbox again anytime soon but I hope MS makes PC/Xbox one platform. Same games on both platforms.
@1ghost1995:oh nuuu, i am not saying TW2 was underrated, KoA (kingdom of amalur) is.
Regardless of genre MG rising and TW's combat are both similar in the sense you have one overwhelming foe in front you to get past. At the end of the day, you have to cut them down in both games. So it all comes down to the sword play. Both of which involve button mashing and parrying. TW, you have your potions and magic. In rising you have the ripper ability. Although there isn't a leveling system, Rising's combat is complex and requires a lot of time to master. Combat is 99% your sword. So after defeating a foe in MG Rising, more than likely you have immediately improved as a player which is sorta like leveling up and i must say, as a gamer it is deeply satisfying as opposed to leaning on outside tools and grinding. Unless of course you cheat and have the suit/blue hair then you are a basically god. But yeah, MG Rising IMO has the superior approach.
@1ghost1995: haha KoA was soooo under rated and fun. I can't stand old school ARPGs. They feel clunky and slow. More of a Ys/Mega man X typa guy. I have much love for Platinum, and From Software innovating and going beyond.
And yeah I know TW battles can get very technical. But personally I think the AI isn't that interesting either. MG Rising 1v1 very hard is nearly as technical (one of the BEST parry systems) and the AI is far more explosive than TW.
I am comparing TW with the best combat systems so I guess I am being harsh. But I don't really play a great deal of ARPGs outside of modern AAA tier games so that's why I sorta didn't like it as much as others.
@1ghost1995: I loved every thing about the witcher 2/3 except for the combat system. Overall the way battles are designed out were cinematic and cool but the system was kinda just average tbh IMO. Other than that the stories and characters are great.
I personally never once thought about TW vs Zelda. They are just completely themes. Nier has a far superior combat system in comparison but other than a few, NPC storys are sometimes funny or remotely interesting.
@Spartan_418: ps5 won't be out till probably November 2020 or 2021. Still plenty of time unless you plan to purchase at launch. Even then no guarantee ps4 games will be backwards compatible from day 1.
That's pretty cool. But, I would rather have AAA game development than playing a 15 year old game in 4k 60 fps. Or both which I'm sure MS has the resources but seems they don't care...
